A breeze. Implementation was easy and fast. The onboarding team took the time to explain everything to make sure everything was implemented the right way.

Pros

The thing I like the most is how easy Kintsugi makes it for me to file sale tax. Prior to using it, I would spend hours trying to figure out how to do it. For me this is priceless.

Cons

I had to send a few emails to clarify a few things and it was a little challenging to receive a reply from someone. They would do what I was asking though so it's fine.

Overall, we’re very happy with Kintsugi. It’s a huge step up from our manual approach and our experience with traditional third-party accountants. It gives us peace of mind while saving time and reducing the risk of human error. For a fast-growing consumer brand selling across states, it’s been a reliable and efficient solution.

Pros

The real-time dashboards are a game changer, we can instantly view our sales tax nexus and ensure compliance without spreadsheets or guesswork. Seamless Stripe integration made setup painless, and the UI is incredibly clean and intuitive. Also, the team is responsive and helpful.

Cons

We had a couple hiccups in the early filings, but the team course-corrected quickly and we’ve had no errors since.

Pros

The best thing about Kintsugi is the customer support - whenever we run into issues or need additional features the support team is always hands on and attentive.

Cons

Sometimes the integration with Stripe doesn't work as intended and we have had to use support to resolve integration issues.

For an ECommerce business it's so easy to implement and could save a lot of time spending in registering and filing the sales tax returns

Cons

Kintsugi pro-actively don't suggest recommendations (little late compared to other offline CPA's in the market)

Great experience from the initial onboarding to the filing of the Sales Tax Reports. Staff was easy to reach and understand.

Pros

I liked that human beings were available to ask questions of and get clarification and resolve any needs, via multiple methods of communicating (email, phone, video conference).

Cons

The onboarding was a bit tricky for me, since I'm not very tech-savvy, but they walked me through the whole process and it worked out fine in the end.

My overall experience has been great. Their solid platform and excellent service are a real lift. I recommend them to anyone who'll listen!

Pros

Kintsugi’s intuitive interface is informative but simple and easy to navigate. We had a single, live human onboard us (shout out to \[sensitive content hidden\]!) and he was smart, friendly, and responsive. That process was mostly smooth, and the platform’s automation capabilities helped us streamline our workflows almost immediately. I especially appreciate how easy it is to integrate Kintsugi with our existing tools, which saves us tons of time and effort.

Cons

Currently only that our weird use case makes product approval a bit of a chore, but their support team's offered to keep up with it for us until their dev can implement a solution. Which is amazing!

Pros

It handles all of our sales tax filings in all 50 states through shopify with extreme ease. Once we started working with Kintsugi I just never need to worry about it at all.

Cons

It may sound like a cliche but honestly I cannotfind anything that I don't like about Kintsugi. It does exactly what advertised.

Very positive and would highly recommend for other ecommerce businesses looking to register and file their sales tax with minimal effort.

Pros

Very competitive pricing but more importantly confidence in the team and tools to help us comly. The dashboard is great and easy to navigate.

Cons

International registration took a while but we knew going in this wasn't the core offering, but the team were willing to help with this

Pros

Super easy setup even when they had to register all 50 states for us. Pricing is extremely fair and very high value. Basically once we started we just don't need to worry about Sales Tax anymore, at a fraction of the competitor's cost.

Cons

Luckily we have been extremely happy from starting to work with Kintsugi. I can't think of any downside.

Overall, it seems like kintsugi had not had experience with a company of our size, but they were quick to get things resolved and I think as long as they maintain the great customer service they will do even better with larger companies in the future

The dashboard makes it easy to see what items need to be actioned - the email reminders are great as well

the onboarding had a lot of issues that went on for some time (things were resolved quickly, but things kept coming up)

Very positive and much better than others I had trialed. The live hands on support is truly what made the difference, and a very simple interface is not confusing or overwhelming.

Pros

The software was so easy to integrate to my shopify store, the dashboard and analytics are super clear and helpful but more importantly the staff and support are beyond helpful.

Cons

Filing fee costs as you scale over time could get expensive for each state. I understand the value of automating but more pricing tiers coudl be helpful down the line.

Great! They've been very helpful and cost effective for our business. We used to use TaxJar so this was a way for us to save money and achieve what we want for our business.

Pros

Ease of use, ease of implementation, great customer service and adaptability. They are always willing to help in any way possible to achieve our goals!

Cons

There has been some softwares that we use that may not be compatible with Kintsugi. It's something that I'm sure would be available in the future as they grow and evolve.

Kintsugi has been incredible for us. When we hit nexus in multiple states at the same time, their team made a complicated situation feel simple. They helped us understand exactly what we needed to do, got us registered quickly, and built out an exemption strategy that actually saved us money. On top of that, their pricing beat every major sales tax provider we compared. I recommend them to anyone looking for a smarter way to handle sales tax.

Pros

Pricing, team support, and strategy support. Their team is always available to help if I have a question and their UX/platform is super easy to use.

Cons

n/a - Love using them. I haven't had an issue with them despite having used them for various companies now over the last three years.

Pros

they seem to have really figured out how to manage my e-commerce state sales taxes. everything seems easy enough to use. Their customer service is probably my favorite part as they're all just really kind and thoughtful.

Cons

i supposed there's a lot of trust that goes on behind the scenes. they set up profiles for you and make sure you have access, but it's been very out of sight, out of mind for me. which is a great thing and possible a hazardous thing. but hey, it's kind of why I use them.

It has been a delightful experience so far. We have only been using Kintsugi for a few months now, but it makes the last 8 years we used the previous vendor for this feel like an abusive relationship.

Pros

They actually care and it is very apparent almost immediately after working with them. I also love that they actually try to educate their clients which makes dealing with state sales tax a little bit more palatable.

Cons

I wish they were able to inject their tax information on the checkout page of Shopify, but Shopify has that locked down at the moment (understandable since Shopify charges for this).

I had received and email from Kintsugi and I genuinely needed their help. I had a great first conversation and signed up later in the year. Their customer service is great and I'm grateful for their guidance.

Pros

Kintsugi set up was easy and payment was seamless. The cost is more than fair. I'm a small business and figuring it out myself was daunting.

Cons

I don't have any complaints. They exceeded expectations and my sales tax was paid on time and correctly.
