Overall, our experience with Zipchat has been very positive. We use it to help customers navigate a complex product assortment and answer repetitive questions without overloading our support team. The chatbot improves the customer experience while saving time internally, and the flexibility of the tool makes it suitable even for more demanding use cases.

Pros

The level of control and customization. Being able to fully prompt the chatbot, adjust answers, and fine-tune its behavior directly in the admin is the biggest advantage. It allows us to keep the chat aligned with our brand voice and real product expertise, which is essential in a professional e-commerce environment. Zipchat is good value for money, flexible setup, and very solid performance for an AI chat tool. The product is easy to integrate into the website, works reliably, and gives us much more control than most competing solutions. Customer support has been responsive and helpful when needed.

Cons

It’s not a “set it and forget it” tool if you want the best results, but that also comes with the benefit of flexibility.

While Smartsupp worked as a basic solution, it was more limited when it came to prompt customization, fine-tuning answers, and adapting the chatbot to our specific product knowledge and brand tone. Zipchat gave us more control through its admin and prompting options, which is essential for us when working with complex products and customer guidance. It simply fits better into our workflow and long-term needs.

Does exactly what it says it does. We recommend it and will continue our use with probably some additions with our other businesses.

Pros

Ease of setup and use. Support is quick and helpful. It works like it says it does.

Cons

I would have given ZipChat a 5 star, however had a little difficulty reaching someone to signup and get started. Nothing outrageous but did have a little trouble there. And I would like the knowledge base build out a little more with more specific instructions for various use cases.

not much. I think sometimes their integrations feel quite limited even when trying to use zapier. I also wish they could automate send and had more of workflow functionality.

Zipchat has truly revolutionized the way we work! It handles customer interactions quickly and accurately, saving a lot of time for the colleague who used to manage the live chat. Now our team can focus on other important tasks and be more productive overall.

Pros

I like that it can respond accurately and promptly, and that it is possible to intervene when the response is not what you want or correct. It is also very important that it can send an email to the site owner when Zipchat does not know how to respond. The site's user interface is also excellent.

Cons

I find that at the moment there is nothing that doesn't work and that I don't like, as the software is constantly evolving and the support is excellent.

Pros

It’s super easy to set up and integrates seamlessly with our Shopify store. We’ve especially loved the WhatsApp automation features — abandoned cart recovery and post-purchase flows work great. The bot feels natural and has helped us maintain a personal tone with our customers while saving time and increasing conversions.

Cons

While the interface is user-friendly, we’ve hit a few limitations when trying to build more complex automations. It would also be helpful to have more advanced customer behavior segmentation options to fine-tune our flows.

Overall, it's been very positive for me. So much so that I want to be a part of it and help this company grow!

Pros

It's easy to use, it's easy implement and most of all, it's effective. The backend is quite simple for now, but that's because they've cut out all the irrelevant functions and they're only showing what's most important. Customer service was great also!

Cons

Limits to things like # of lines in AI training instructions, pages, replies, etc. but I get it. They have to manage and for the replies, well that's how they generate revenue! (Hopefully this will decrease as they gain more users). Good news is CS can help increase some of it (within reason) if you need it so that's appreciated.

Overall, the experience is extremely positive. For a small team managing two e-commerce sites, it’s incredibly useful to save so much time by not having to respond to customers and being able to focus on other tasks. A truly excellent use of AI.

Pros

Zipchat provides extremely accurate customer service regarding the products on our two websites, offering advice just as we would ourselves and carefully reading all the information. The ability to “teach” the system how to respond is an added value.

Cons

In some situations, it tends to get a bit imaginative in its responses, but only when there’s very little information available and only in rare cases. It would be interesting to have an alert system for incoming messages to monitor performance and step in manually when needed.

Speed and ease of training... less than 15 min and the chat results were remarkable. Updating the knowledge base is super easy. The automations lead to more sales.

Cons

Nothing found yet... its over delivering on my expectations. Well, maybe the instructions on getting tracking integrated into my site... too developer focused and not consumer focused.

Pros

la personalizzazione del prompt è l'opzione che veramente da la svolta. Il limite dei caratteri aiuta ad ottimizzare ulteriormente l'efficienza e la capacità dell'assistente virtuale.

Cons

La gestione della knowledge base poco gestibile e difficile da tenere organizzata. Mi piacerebbe in futuro avere più opzioni di personalizzazione e controllo.

Very happy with the choice for Zipchat. At first we didn't know if it would make a difference. But it's a real must-have.

Pros

It cuts down the amount of emails we were receiving. Some simple questions, can be found on the website, but we still received a lot of e-mails. Now, our e-mails are reduced.

Cons

Only missing the option to interfere in the chat with the customer.

Pros

We tried a few apps before finding ZipChat. All of them had a really limited understanding of our business, resulting in embarrassment from me about the kind of replies. Zipchat is able to get the full context and to speak to customers with emphaty

Cons

Users can’t checkout in the chatbot. This feature would be really useful

While Zipchat has many strengths, it lacks certain features that could enhance its utility. For instance, the absence of a mobile app to receive instant notifications when a client needs assistance is notable. Additionally, the platform could benefit from an option to allow manual responses immediatly when the chatbot cannot handle specific queries effectively. Lastly, the chatbot button functionality could be improved by adding predefined options for common customer inquiries, such as order tracking or information on new products.

Pros

Zip chat is a great tool to add to your ecommerce. It gives you the possibility to have an additional member in your team. Therefore, you get a software that is doing the job of one sales man but with a way lower cost. The chat works great and has the ability to generate sales through the AI. I was doubting at first, however I nned to admit that after 6 months of usage I would never remove it from my ecommerce now.

Cons

Initially the price, however if you compare to have someone h24 there to chat, makes a lot of sense.
