### "Streamlining origination model development and deployment within a single environment"

April 24, 2025

5.0

The Ignite platform helps us solve the business problem of quickly building, evaluating, and deploying credit models by streamlining access to bureau data.

Pros

Based on our work with Equifax Ignite, the most helpful aspect has been its ability to streamline the entire credit model development lifecycle in one platform — from data access and feature engineering to model deployment. Ignite’s curated attributes, direct access to bureau and performance data, and built-in preprocessing tools significantly reduced development time and complexity. The platform also made it easier to collaborate across teams, automate parts of the process, and quickly test different assumptions as the data was readily available. Perhaps most impactful was the ability to seamlessly transition from model development to production, enabling faster, more consistent decisioning. Additionally, the Equifax support team was consistently available, responsive, and instrumental in helping us navigate challenges and meet deadlines. Overall, Ignite has been a game-changer in making our modeling process more efficient, transparent, and scalable.

Cons

While advanced validation metrics like SHAP, PSI, and confusion matrices can be tested in the Jupyter notebook, they are not currently available within AME, Equifax’s model execution engine — adding them would greatly enhance in-platform model evaluation.

### "Reliable Data and Exceptional Support for Fintech Innovation"

November 6, 2024

5.0

Our experience with Equifax Ignite for Financial Services has been positive and productive. The platform provided the bureau data needed to develop and fine-tune our synthetic data generation, enhancing our technology significantly. The team’s support, especially from \[sensitive content hidden\], made our experience smooth and efficient. Although our focus is shifting, we anticipate future collaboration as our needs evolve.

Pros

The access to real bureau data through Equifax Ignite has been invaluable, allowing us to refine and enhance our technology, particularly in synthetic data generation. The support team, especially \[sensitive content hidden\], were responsive, proactive, and instrumental in pushing forward every aspect of the collaboration.

Cons

Our main challenge has been that, as we shift focus away from synthetic data generation, our need for bureau data has decreased. This change in direction has led us to temporarily pause our use of the Equifax Ignite platform

### "Ignite is one of the best tool I've used for data analysis."

March 12, 2025

5.0

We use Ignite to build models to predict response rate for consumers. We are benefited from the Ignite by integrating data from various sources easily and building model in Jupyter Notebook efficiently.

Pros

Ignite provides us strong and robust data analytics tools to make exploration with consumer data. We can easily integrate data from different sources and generate results.

Cons

It's hard for new users to learn the whole complex system and GCP. Also the experience with Jupyter Notebook is not that good without autocomplete.

### "Power of consumer credit datasets at your fingertips"

September 27, 2024

4.0

Overall, I like the product. Besides some technical quirks, overall it's a nice product to work with credit data, especially for modeling/analytics.

Pros

Access to various up to date credit data sets at the fingertips and the hardware/software to handle those huge datasets at one place is amazing.

Cons

It feels like going into a jail as nothing can be copied in/out of it easily even though the data inside it is anonymized. Can't even connect the code to a version control sites like github is a real disappointment. Support for R is rather limited - even basic custom package installations are a challenge.

### "Exceptional Tool for Credit Research"

August 8, 2024

5.0

Equifax Ignite enables us to do in-depth consumer credit analysis, supporting trend reports and research that establish industry expertise. I have found it easy to use, convenient and super resourceful hub.

Pros

Equifax Ignite provides extensive, up-to-date data that supports advanced credit analysis. The integration with Jupyter Notebook and BigQuery allows for intricate analyses. The platform is user-friendly, and customer support is responsive and effective. The inclusion of alternative data, such as utility and rental payments, enhances creditworthiness assessments.

Cons

The vast amount of data can be daunting for beginners. Effective data filtering and utilization require learning, although Equifax's comprehensive documentation and support ease this process.

### "Equifax Ignite has transformed our insights to the next level"

November 7, 2023

5.0

Pros

2nd Order Solutions (2OS) advises lending Financial Institutions on the latest trends in the consumer credit industry. Publicly available data and reports only scratch the surface but with Equifax Ignite, we can unlock new insights with more granular data, displaying custom made graphs and disrupting the credit industry insights currently available by other companies. Ignite empowers us to understand pockets of credit risk or opportunities within different groups, and within asset classes; this understanding can then be used to inform our clients decisions and build better models to inform their credit policies. For instance, Ignite empowers us to pinpoint opportunities by analyzing alternative data, like utility and rental payments, helping us identify creditworthy prospects who may lack extensive credit histories and would otherwise not be eligible for a lending product. Lastly, we really enjoyed the effective customer support offered by the Equifax Ignite team. They quickly resolve any data quality issues. Despite the vast and complex corpus of datasets, their clear documentation and the Analytics team's prompt assistance has made it a great experience. he platform is user-friendly and easy to use. The Equifax team is always open to adding new datasets and labeling niche asset class if needed for a new use case or analysis.

Cons

We are more than pleased with the platform.

### "Great for fintech startups to prototype and iterate"

November 15, 2023

5.0

Ignite is perfect for early stage fintech companies to prototype ML models with credit bureau data (even alternative data). The data size is more than sufficient (even a 10% sample was enough for our model building). The team at Equifax was a pleasure to work with. They were super responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Pros

Access to a lot more consumer credit data (in terms of size and types of data) than paying for a data dump at the same budget. It was perfect for us to prototype our ML and risk model (since we had no idea what features would be important). In the end, we got what we needed and more. Ignite is built on top of GCP, so we were able to leverage BigQuery and Jupyter Notebook + Spark for quick iterations from the get-go.

Cons

It is a closed ecosystem for data protection (understandable), but it also means that we were limited to the tools provided by the platform. So for production, we might still get data dumps, but with the help of Ignite, we now have a better idea of what types of data and how much of them we actually need.

Reason for choosing Equifax Ignite for Financial Services

In the early days of our startup, we had no idea what to expect from bureau data. Ignite allowed us to experiment and iterate without being limited by data availability at a fraction of the cost needed otherwise.

### "Excellent Tool for Consumer Credit Research"

April 15, 2024

5.0

Overall, my experience with Equifax Ignite has been great. I have been able to complete very complex analysis with the Sandbox.

Pros

Equifax Ignite has a large amount of data for research, that updates regularly so that customers have the most recent data to analyze. It also has both Jupyter Notebook and BigQuery, which allows for complex analysis. Additionally, the customer service is great. Anytime I email with questions or requests, Equifax is always quick to respond and very helpful.

Cons

Given that there is a lot of data on the Ignite Platform, it is important to understand how to filter the data you may need for analysis. Without background the sheer amount of data can be overwhelming for new users, but the Equifax Data Dictionaries can be very helpful in learning how to filter and analyze the correct data for your purpose.

### "Used Equifax Ignite for deep dive in student lending"

November 7, 2023

5.0

I had a highly positive overall experience with Equifax Ignite. I hope to continue using the service for the foreseeable future, as the insights we can gain from Equifax Ignite data are distinguishing for our firm within the industry.

Pros

The granularity and specificity of the Equifax Ignite data, along with the intuitive and creative data elements, is what makes it stand out among other data sources available for financial services consultants. I was recently involved in extensive research regarding the restart of federal student loan repayment, and there was no question that we couldn't answer with the Equifax Ignite tools in hand. The tradeline level data had useful historical features that helped us tease out complex patterns across massive swaths of the population. Importantly, my colleagues and I were able to onboard to the system and get accustomed to the various tools in a short period, greatly reducing the time it took our team to produce this time-sensitive paper. We appreciated the one-on-one support and attention that was available to us from the Equifax Ignite team whenever questions arose. In my experience, the Equifax team is quick to adopt new practices and ideas regarding data organization and utilization, making for an agile ecosystem that my firm takes advantage of to the great benefit of our analysts and clients.

Cons

When I first tried to gain access to the system, I had some issues logging on. However, when I wrote to the Equifax Ignite user team, I received a nearly instant response that was helpful and straightforward and I was able to log on easily afterwards. Perhaps the onboarding documentation has since been refreshed, but anyway this was not a major delay in my work.
