Cons Their really was nothing about database browser that did not meet the needs of the project. Although some of the team felt that the documentation was fairly basic. I was working on a data extraction project for a PHD student who wanted the data from their surveying app to be accessible in spreadsheet format. After months of trying to find an easy way to export Firebase Firestore data into a spreadsheet, I stumbled across Database Browser extension and I couldn't believe how easy it was to setup a connection and start creating queries and the cherry on top was that it works perfectly. I then explored further into the paid features and being able to schedule queries was a huge time saver. The only trouble I face is when I have sub-collections in my Firestore Database and I can't access them but most of the time I can resolve this with some database restructuring. All in all, I think this product is great and I can't wait for future updates and improvements. I would definitely recommend to anyone. Pros Database Browser was the only option I could find where connecting Firestore to Google sheets was easy and straight forward and has features such as scheduled queries. Editing query parameters is quick and easy as well as the connection process to my Firestore Database. The whole platform reals reliable and solid. Cons My current con with Database Browser is that it can only access Firestore documents in collections on the first level but it can't see any sub-collections and their documents which can make things difficult sometimes with structuring my database. Reasons for choosing Database Browser I struggled to find alternative product's.
