I would absolutely recommend this service to anyone wanting to use standardized addresses. Pros I found that using the Smarty API provided very fast and very accurate results. I couldn't be happier. We have been attempting to solve address correction problem for several years. Being software designers we figured it was an easy solution. The heuristics and fuzzy logic used by Smarty is state of the art. And it really solved our address correlation issues. We are very please with the products, the sales and support and the documentation. Pros The python integration examples were spot on! Integration into our python codes was simple. We run marketing campaigns twice a year and the monthly billing works very well for our needs. Cons Let's see. 1. The product works as advertised. 2. The customer service is outstanding. 3. But did not fit our international usecase Pros It's reliable and well documented. I did not find implementing it too much of a hassle. Director of Operations Retail Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Easy and effective" April 26, 2024 5.0 It was the most cost effective and low impact solution for us to automate and integrate address correction. Pros From the initial purchase through the final testing the integration of Smarty to our proprietary e-commerce and ERP platform was easy. The API was simple to understand, coded, and has very fast response times. This allowed us to have minimal impact on customer and user facing interactions. Cons Testing. It's hard to find the right combinations of addresses scenarios to test validations and corrections. There is also the 1 in 100,000 addresses that while USPS valid, just do not validate well through the API call. However, we have submitted such problems and they do get corrected by Smarty fairly quickly. It is very competitively priced and provides good great value comparing to other providers in this space. Pros Intuitive, well documented API and great and reliable SLAs Cons Prior to release of Rooftop Geocoding functionality, the geocoding was not on par with other providers in this space. Even with variations in address formats, abbreviations, or misspellings, the tool constently delivers precise parsing results. The ability to validate US addresses is also great, the tool ensures only accurate and deliverable addresses are accepted. Cons While the address validation tool offers impressive parsing and validation capabilities, there are a few considerations to keep in mind. The international address verification is expensive. The account manager was not able to offer a lower tier based on our volume usage. And there's limitation with parsing international addresses, which we are still leveraging multiple third party vendors. The address format vary significantly across countries, so might worth to improve the data quality in response country by country.
