Being able to recover several terabytes of data after physical loss is paramount. The simplicity of that recovery set my mind as ease. Backblaze has been such a good partner, that I have now incorporated them into my business. Pros Backblaze has been, by far, the best backup solution. Having been a reseller and personal user for the last 15 years, I can't praise them enough. Their personal solution is incredibly easy to setup both Mac and Microsoft. The service is extremely affordable considering what they offer. Being able to evaluate the backups as well as easily recover data, make this a far superior tool. More than once I have had to use their recovery solution of mailing a drive with data. It was quick and easy. Their support is responsive and empathetic. Managing the bandwidth usage is also easily done and crucial in rural areas. Cons No complaints at all. Data loss is painful, especially when it is out of your control. Peace of mind knowing my data is secure, is satisfying. Switched from [Carbonite](https://www.capterra.com/p/223152/Carbonite/) Carbonite was a huge resource hog and required systems to have a lot more resources available. In my case, with a media server, I needed as many resources as possible reserved for media processing. Cons Sometimes it can be a little slow and the interface is rather clunky although it is still perfectly functional. But I ultimately left because of pricing. But there are aspects including upload delays and auto data deletion that that be cause for concern enough for some to find another backup or archive method. Pros It uploads very fast. I just don't know if there is anything comparable. I've tried iDrive and the upload looks like it will take weeks when Backblaze already uploaded. And I love that they will send you a drive of all your files very quickly if yours crashes. This has happened before and it was a life saver for our project. It is easy to setup and use. Cons I don't love the online interface. And most of all, I was having issues with the app saying the backups were up to date but the cloud not showing them yet (but I've heard there could be an 8 hour delay or more). And I also have the issue of the drives not being seen by Backblaze. You have to make sure to plug them in - maybe even dismount and remount for it to see them. And I don't like that it will delete your data if you don't mount the drive for it every 30 days.
