### "The AI Swiss Army Knife"

March 19, 2024

5.0

This is going to sound like I work for the company, but I seriously think it's one of the most valuable pieces of software that I've used in as long as I can remember. The ongoing development adds new functionality faster than I can implement it. I recommend it enthusiastically to anyone working with all the different LLMs and every one of them that follows my advice loves using it. I think I used it originally on Setapp for a single day before I bought the Premium version. I am about to switch to the custom version so I can get everyone on my team using it. I haven't done it yet because I'm just being cheap, but that's pretty shortsighted given the productivity boost I expect once I get everyone to start using it.

Pros

It's incredibly powerful and flexible. It's like an AI Swiss Army Knife. It allows me to centralize all my interactions with the different models. I really like the ability to setup my own prompts and profiles. There's almost no reason for me to use any other application to interact with all the models out there.

Cons

It's a bit complicated to learn, but I think that's more a function of the fact that it can do so many things with so many different models. Any time you have an application that does this much, it's going to be a bit complicated. On the plus side, the documentation is very comprehensive.

Reason for choosing TypingMind

It's much more flexible and allows me to do everything the other applications do and more. Once you really dig into it, there's no comparison at all.

### "Customer Multi-model ChatGPT for your team"

March 12, 2024

5.0

I'm extremely happy with TypingMind and have recommended it to several people. They care about their users and deliver great support. They ship features fast and are responsive to suggestions. This is an essential product at our company.

Pros

We use TypingMind Custom which allows me to give all my team members access to AI models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and more - such as GPT-4, Claude 3. Winning features for me: 1. Uses LLM APIs so none of our data is used for training. 2. Access to LLMs from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc 3. In-built RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) 4. Robust admin tools to set limits, manage access control (for models, AI characters, training data, etc)

Cons

Nothing to dislike about TypingMind. Only drawback is one can't make use of Custom GPTs although recently they did launch the ability to access external APIs which we're yet to test out.

Reason for choosing TypingMind

I've found it to be an affordable way to bring AI assistance to my team at a price that's better than ChatGPT. Better options for managing teams.

### "Outstanding front-end for chat-based AI systems"

March 14, 2024

5.0

Outstanding. I've been a user and evangelist from very early on. TypingMind's features, implementation, speed of development, attention to the community, etc. is top notch.

Pros

Features, ease of use, consistency across models

Cons

I have literally no complaints at all!!! Well, the name is kind of silly.

TypingMind allows you to access various provider models (e.g. OpenAI's gpt-4-turbo or Anthropic's Claude 3 Opus) directly via API. This can save you money but also gives more features and a consistent interface across all supported platforms.

### "Incredible productivity enabler"

April 7, 2024

5.0

It's been very cost effective to pay by token rather than a monthly subscription fee for the different models.

Pros

I use TypingMind every single day to interact with a variety of different models, e.g. GPT-4-Turbo, Claud3 Opus and Gemini. It's very easy to set up. The interface is clean and intuitive and the cloud sync is great for working across multiple computers. The developer is very responsive and quickly integrates new features as they come out.

Cons

It's all good. There is nothing really that needs significant improvements. The developer quickly implements new features.

Cost and ease of use. I did not want to be locked into one model and TypingMind makes it easy to choose the model that works the best for my needs.

### "Front-End to Many Models"

May 20, 2024

5.0

The support and communications has been excellent. They routinely update software and release updated models.

Pros

I like that I don't have to maintain monthly subscriptions with multiple services like ChatGPT, Anthropic, and Google. Instead, I can just access various models using my APIs. I can also set up folders to organize my chats. And there is a mechanism where I can save my prompts or use a community one.

Cons

If you clear your browser cookies, you need to reset your software license and any APIs. You can pull in your previous session data. I would like it if I could access some custom ChatGPTs.

I didn't like the recurring monthly fee.

### "Excellent Front End for LLMs"

March 15, 2024

5.0

Pros

TypingMind consolidates most of the popular language models into one interface, runs locally if you want it to, and obfuscates the need for monthly subscriptions and their limitations. Using API keys for each of the language models initially allowed me access to models that, for example, OpenAI did not allow without a subscription, and importantly, does so without coding. Constant updates from the developer is a big plus too.

Cons

The lack of a native app on mobile initially was a con for me, but using the PWA changed that. I believe that this approach allows the developer to push updates without having to force the end user to download a new version.

### "My Favorite LLM Interface"

March 14, 2024

Pros

The BEST interface for generative AI. The sync, profiles, personas, etc make it such a joy to use. The UI and UX are fantastic.

Cons

I wish there was a native app version, but the website is great.

### "Great product "

March 14, 2024

5.0

Amazing. It has been my fav purchase in the past two years. No regret. I purchased a lifetime license

Pros

Ease of use, security, can use multiple models, organization, active community. And the developer keeps shipping updates

Cons

The only complaint is that open router models take a few steps to implement but his guides make it easy

### "Excellent Tool "

March 14, 2024

5.0

Pros

TypingMind lets me have a chat-like experience but doesn't limit me to a single API. I can choose whichever one I want for any specific use case. New features are released frequently, and new models available in existing APIs are added within a day if not within a few hours of release.

Cons

The plugin system is relatively easy to use, but the interface isn't the most intuitive. (I have not tried writing my own plugins yet.) They must be integrated with ChatGPT even if they are using other APIs behind the scenes.

Reason for choosing TypingMind

A single interface to use all of the APIs I'm currently working with, an active developer and frequent updates, and not needing to spend a minimum of $20 per API per month.

### "TypingMind - Way better than the OpenAI Playground"

March 14, 2024

5.0

Pros

It's such a better interface than the playground/api interfaces you get from LLMs. Organized, fast, easy on the eyes. \[sensitive content hidden\] keeps it updating it regularly too.

Cons

I can't really find anything to complain about, except maybe some UI tweaks that would make it easier to work with very large prompts. Overall, it's excellent.
