It is a good helper because it does all the tough stuff like formatting the structure and gathering sources. The weekly efficiency gains are so powerful that we think it’s worth its minor UI fragmentation. Pros The useful citation tool and multi-lingual support is handy for the management of regional project contents. Putting a rough outline into our system to get back a draft with sources that are correctly referenced saves our team hours of cross checking time. The rewriter tool easily adheres to the original context and tone of the technical briefs we input into the program. It fits nicely in our original research phase as it enables writers to construct a foundation much faster than a blank page will. Cons The user interface can feel somewhat disconnected as the separate tools function as separate modules rather than a unified workspace. We always have to copy paste of the text from the rewriter to the plagiarism checker which creates a hassle for us. The layout of complex document exports can break down at times, and then we have to spend a little time fixing headers and spacing in Google Docs. It has proven to be a reliable convenience in my toolbox as it balances out and counters the time-consuming nature of technical writing on the whole. Given its price, it makes enough efficiency improvement to be worth the recurring subscription as a permanent part of my daily work. Pros It is undoubtedly tough as a network security engineer to incorporate such technical information in simple easy to understand documents especially for the stakeholders who do not have a sound knowledge of the infrastructure. Smodin's rewriting and summarization tools are very useful for turning long logs and configuration notes into simple summaries while retaining the necessary technical accuracy. This tool greatly simplifies the rewriting of my first drafts and helps me save plenty of time in the reporting phase of my work. It allows me to spend more time on security analysis and less on copying and pasting manually. Cons Constantly switching between specialized tools can be a bit cumbersome as it hampers my speed and slows things down during intensive documentation. In addition, the instrument sometimes does not recognize the right descriptions for some cybersecurity protocols. Therefore, I often have to verify everything to ensure that the technical jargon matches. It is a great helper that does the hard work and collects the sources for structural formats. Even though it creates some small UI fragmentation, the weekly efficiency benefits we see make it worthwhile to add to our software tools. Pros Being able to work with different dialects, and the references tool is very helpful for regional projects. Creating a rough outline and getting a first draft with properly cited sources saves our team a significant amount of manual cross-checking time. The rewriter tool’s tone adjusting feature does quite a good job in modifying tone without altering the meaning of the techno briefs that we make use of. This suits our initial research phase nicely and will allow writers to start at a much quicker pace compared to a blank sheet. Cons The disconnection between the user interface may be due to the fact that the different tools operate as individual modules. As we have to copy and paste text between rewriter and plag checks frequently, it can add unnecessary steps to our editing process. Furthermore, when we export complex documents, the formatting sometimes breaks, so headers and spacing in Google Docs take extra time to clean up. There is a clear ROI as it saves quite a bit of man-hours that would otherwise go to manual paraphrasing, and initial proofreading. For teams wanting a multifaceted platform with integrated A.I. writing assistance and other tools to handle basic task needs, this is a great option. Pros The major advantage of this platform is that it provides you with a single interface for rewriting in addition to checking for plagiarism and AI-content. As a result, you save a lot of time hopping through different tabs on your browser. I find the paragraph rewriter especially useful in modifying the flow of drafts that I feel to be a bit stiff or robotic. This is because it produces a more human-sounding output than the raw AI generation. Using it has become a handy tool for getting rid of writer’s block when I need to quickly change the tone of internal documentation or routine client comms. Cons Although the feature set is comprehensive, the output consistency can vary based on the complexity of the source text sometimes requiring a second go at getting the phrasing just right. I can tell they are always pushing new updates and finding ways to make it better so I can't complain. Pros I use Smodin mostly for helping refine short paragraphs and to rework instructions for better clarity. Its helpful when I need to rephrase something quickly without starting from scratch. The citation generator is also a timesaver if you need to cite sources for a paper or article. Cons I'd like to see more formatting options or integrations in the future, but overall, it gets the job done when I need a quick boost.
