She was already good at our bookkeeping, but the little annoyances we both felt have been fixed with APAr Pros I enjoyed the functions around change orders. It lets me pass COs from my subs to the entire project. I handle more than 3-4 projects at once and their are a lot of invoices to handle. My wife (and my accountant) in the past had to seperate invoices from change orders. But I use this software now to manage that together with her. Organizing work and tracking invoices became much easier. Would recommend if you have similar invoice and CO issues. Cons There is no support for time and materials contracts. I use these sometimes and would like this feature added to avoid my excel workarounds. Payroll is also not directly on the software. Switched from [QuickBooks Desktop](https://www.capterra.com/p/212058/QuickBooks-Desktop-Pro/) I liked QuickBooks but my wife and I wanted to solve some of the constant fixes we had to do ourselves. After switching over from QBO, we've been able to organize all our finances in a more structured way. Having costs tied directly to each project has made it easier to track subcontractor expenses and ensure consistency. Over time, this has made our records cleaner and improved big-picture visibility. We've seen a noticeable improvement in how we manage our costs and avoid mistakes. Overall, it's been a reliable solution that has brought clarity, control, and peace of mind to our construction projects. Pros The interface is easy to navigate and visually clean. It didn't take long for our entire team to understand and feel comfortable with the system. Most of the features were straightforward enough to learn within a few hours. The setup process was simple, which made onboarding smoother compared to other tools we've tried. Customer support has also been very responsive and helpful with all questions that came up. Cons It would be helpful to have more customization with reporting options at the job level, beyond WIP by cost codes/cost types. Having clearer explanations or more context behind certain numbers would make it easier for our wider team to interpret reports, especially for those without a strong accounting background. It did help us preventing duplicate invoice payments and saved lot of time on aia billings. Pros Very cost-effective compared to other construction accounting software we evaluated. Works well for our commercial projects in the $200K–$1.5M range. Provides much clearer project accounting and subcontractor billing management than QuickBooks. Reduces paperwork mistakes. Cons Change order sequence numbers cannot be modified after creation. Would like to see more advanced project-level reporting features.
