It has clearly been created on an AI base and leverages this to provide some dramatic functionality. One of my favorites is called Mirror Image, where it will create the prompt for an uploaded image. Pros Its ingeniousness combined with comprehensive functionality. This thing is stunning! I can start with images I like and modify them by telling their AI what I want changed, or I can write or modify the prompt itself. Cons Predominance of cartoon focus. Of course, many of the amazing apps from this company emerge from a father's interest in creating books for his own children and that lead to products built on that base. I find that AI does nicely when generating what it wants, but can be challenging when I need an image that says what I want precisely. Review Source AR Adam R. November 24, 2025 5.0 I was reluctant at first, but soon foumd out how great of a program this actually is. There are so many features and more added often that one might not realize they have them. Pros It is a one time fee without the monthly subscription, and need to purchase credits if the sub is exceeded. Cons Like all the other programs, it can be a real pain when one cannot quite get that 1 image perfect no matter how many prompts. However, its unlimited without fees, so thats nice. Its not like leonardo just burning credits even though it disnt follow the prompt or it added something out of nowhere. Alternatives considered [ChatGPT](https://www.capterra.com/p/10009334/ChatGPT/)[DALL-E 3](https://www.capterra.com/p/10009399/DALL-E-3/) Reason for choosing Artistly The cost mainly. Also, it gets frustrating paying a monthly subscription just for x amount of credits, and if one goes over they need to purchase more. This is regardless of the image turning out correctly, and one never knows exactly how the image will turn out on leonardo even if it got the first 5 correct. Review Source JF Jennifer F. I have recommended it to several. Pros There is so much to like. You can create books, coloring, crosswords, matching, just an unlimited amount of options. Then you can create an unlimited number of pictures and edit them. They keep updating the app to make it better and allowing you to do more. The value for what you pay for is just unbelievable. The customer support has always been very quick to answer. Cons When you look in the app there are so many options you do not know where to start. You want to have a game plan on what you are looking to do cause there are so many fun things to do it is like where do I start. Review Source EA Emil A. They were good - but because they seem to not care about issues and problems, and when their users speak up on their group or facebook page, these are deleted. Don't trust them fully. Pros when it works, its cute. But it gets so frustrating. These people create, create, create new app but don't keep to their current products. So you see, Artistly has been sliding in quality. Cons Team Artistly.ai - start getting your act together, your product has started down the dump hole. It has taken me 5 tries to do 16 page storybook. How useless has your app gone. Come people, do better. Anyone looking for an honest review - check out other softwares first before committing to this one. I sense it is going downhill - it has started. Don't believe the high Trustpilot score - if nothing is better, than do this one. Make sure you send them an email to confirm that you will get your 30 Day refund. Review Source FA Filippo A. For me, great. Pros One-time lifetime price, so no monthly fees eating into your budget Unlimited image generation included Free updates included after purchase Users report positive experiences with the product overall Ease of use Great Customer service Cons The lifetime deal is temporary and won't last forever Interface leans towards commercial use and less towards pure artistic work Less focus on artistic depth compared to dedicated art tools Review Source AM Anna M. The platform offers a seamless experience for both writers creating books and graphic designers creating visuals for popular platforms like Redbubble, Teepublic, and Amazon KDP. One of the biggest pros of Artistly is its user-friendly interface. As someone who is not very tech-savvy, I have found the platform to be extremely easy to navigate. The layout is clean and intuitive, making it easy to upload and organize my work. Whether I am working on a new book or creating designs for merchandise, Artistly provides the tools I need in a simple and straightforward manner. In terms of functionality, Artistly offers a wide range of features that cater to both writers and designers. For writers, the platform allows you to easily create and format your books, add illustrations, and publish them on popular platforms like Amazon KDP. As a writer, this has saved me a lot of time and headache in the publishing process. For graphic designers, Artistly offers a variety of tools for creating stunning visuals. From templates to fonts to graphics, the platform has everything you need to bring your designs to life. I have personally used Artistly to create designs for Redbubble and Teepublic, and the process was seamless. The platform even provides analytics to help you track the performance of your designs, which is incredibly helpful for optimizing your offerings. Of course, like any platform, Artistly has its cons. One downside is that the platform can be a bit glitchy at times. I have experienced some lagging and crashing while working on projects, which can be frustrating. However, I have found that the support team is responsive and helpful in addressing these issues, which is a big plus. Overall, I highly recommend Artistly to any writers or graphic designers looking to enhance their creative process. The platform is easy to use, offers a wide range of features, and has been instrumental in helping me bring my ideas to life. Whether you are creating books or visuals for popular platforms, Artistly is a valuable tool that can take your work to the next level. Give it a try – you won't be disappointed! Pros \- User-friendly interface for easy image creation and book design - Wide range of editing tools and effects for customization - Ability to import and export various file formats for seamless integration - Collaboration features for team projects and feedback - Templates and layouts for quick and efficient design - High-quality resolution output for professional results - Cloud storage for convenient access to projects from any device - Automatic saving and version history for peace of mind - Print-on-demand options for physical book copies - Multiple user accounts for sharing and managing projects collaboratively. Cons \- sometimes there are setbacks regarding creating similar characters for the books. Yet, we can learn easily how to deal with the problem in the best way, so it's not such a con after all. Switched from [Canva](https://www.capterra.com/p/168956/Canva/) I get better quality pictures from Artistly and I can create unlimited number of them for one-time price. That is amazing! I am proud for all that are having good fortune with Artistly.and apparently it is an awesome program, but I have not had the same good fortune. I have contacted tech support about my pro version problems and tech support has NOT been supportive. They answered my initial request and we spoke back and forth a few times and my last contact with them, they asked me which web browser I used. I replied and told them that I used Foxfire and that was the last time that I heard from them. That was on May 30th and they will no longer respond to me and I have tried to contact them several times. I requested that if they can't fix my issues to just please refund my money but they will not respond. All I want is a good program that will work for me. It could be my browser, it may have had a glitch when I initially downloaded the program, I don't know. It is ob:iously an incredible program because I have seen the results that many have had, but at this point, I am very disappointed with the lack of support from the company and they apparently are not going to refund my money. I would GLADLY rather just be able to sit back and create some awesome pictures and speak well of the company but at this point, I am very disappointed. Pros I have seen all of the awesome pictures that people have created, so I know that the potential is there. Cons There are no good tutorial to help a newbie get started by walking you through and telling you HOW to get to the point of knowing how to get the results. Switched from [Adobe Photoshop](https://www.capterra.com/p/229092/Adobe-Photoshop/) I wanted a higher quality program that had more capabilities and a faster way to create. I understandably get great results from Pbotoshop, but there is no comparisom to the speed of AI. Review Source PWR-CdIP Prof. Wilson Reis - Clube das IAs P. June 20, 2025 1.0 We will only withdraw the complaint after the proof of receipt of the product to be used by the Timeless AIs Club. Pros How can we make any assessments if, despite being purchased and paid for US $49 on May 16, 2025, the product has not been delivered to us to this day, despite dozens of emails and further proof of the Authorization Code and the invoice from Nubank? Cons We are already arranging an international complaint against a company in defense of consumer rights that involves 35 associated countries. Great for Ebooks, Coloring Pages, Animations with minimum efforts from you Pros The one time fee has saved me a lot of money. I have used Runway and Veo 3 and my credits was used up fast which cost my monthly fees to be very high, On Video Express Ai and Artistry. It is a onetime fee and you can use it unlimitly without paying any more money Cons Not good editing capabilities. But once you get used to the dated UI, it's fine as long as you're familiar with its quirks. Pros I like Artistly because it has unlimited generation and is constantly adding new features for book publishing and video making. Cons The Artistly interface is dated. The features could be better organized. Some old features should be retired in favor of newer, similar features that perform better. Review Source BH Briannah H. It saves me a lot of time, and it definitely improves the quality of the images created. It makes the "creation" very easy. Pros I love that they've updated the app and I didn't have to pay a penny to enjoy the latest tools. And what an update! It's really, really awesome, especially the text creation (although it doesn't work well with other languages than English, but I'm pretty sure they'll work on it for their next versions). It is definitely better than Ideogram. To be honest, I wasn't using it very much before. But now it's really worth every cent. I hope they continue improving it. And I'm eager to use it on my next projects. Cons I don't like that we have to pay extra to enjoy some of their features.
