February 19, 2025 5.0 We have always been satisfied with the service we receive from Nursery Story and know that someone is always there to help us with any problems. We started with Nursery Story and have not looked anywhere else! Pros Nursery Story is easy to use for both staff and parents. It combines general observations of the child's day along with more focused observations, such as nap times, meal times and accidents. Parents love seeing the photos of their children and receiving the information wherever they are. We were a new nursery and started with Nursery Story and have been so satisfied with the service we have received and the price we pay per month. Cons That the parents cannot comment on individual observations. The staff seem to enjoy using it. Pros Nursery Story is easy to use and provides an instant feeback to parents about their child's day. The system is user friendly and helps staff to use the platform to support more than one child at a time, which is really time saving. Cons The app could be more interactive. Other than teh messgae function which is great, there is no way to interact or know whether the parents are actually engaging with the platform. Pros It’s easy to use. Low cost and has a good list of features. Our pre-school have tried a couple in the past before going back to paper based. Another teacher recommended this app so we gave it a try. It been brilliant and happy we found it Cons We had a parent with an issue accessing their app - it’s not a huge thing as it was resolved very quickly. Everything else has been great. The customer service is great and the app is easy for practitioners and parens to use. Pros The ease of use. We love the fact that parents can message us instantly and that we can respond. I have 2 settings and I could not have asked for more when setting up Nursery Story for my second setting. The guys were so helpful and went above and beyond what I would expect! Cons We changed our package because the registers couldn't be saved, and children disapeared from them when taken off the system. As it is a requirement that we need to keep registers for years, we were having to complete paper copies anyway, ans as we weren't using the other parts of that package we changed to the lesser package, which suits us well. Pros It is very easy to use, the lay out of the app is very self explanatory, it is a good way to communicate with parents and parents really love using Nursery Story. It is good that you can upload photos for parents to see and also upload weekly observations which is a good way to save time for staff. Cons Sometimes it can be slow and you need to exit the app and go back into it. Also the new feature of the chat button is right where you click submit or upload which can be frustrating when you are trying to upload food etc. quickly. Review Source DD Donna D. Cons Would be better if messages from parents could be linked to the children’s assigned rooms so messages don’t get opened or missed from other practitioners in a different room. Making the transition to online learning journals was a bit daunting but since using nursery stories, we can communicate with parents in an instant and staff can spend more time with children instead of printing, cutting out photos etc. We are loving our Nursery Stories experience. Pros The system itself is really easy to use and straight forward so staff are able to navigate around it quickly which is not time consuming when looking after children.
