"Soniclear in the Civil Market"
Overall: I have been using it for more than 15 years. I think I was one of the first customers that used it in the civil market. They have always responded to my suggestions and have worked on adapting it outside of the court system. It has been reliable over all the years. Support has always fixed any issue, usually something that was changed in the settings due to Windows updates.
Pros: Soniclear has a relatively easy learning curve. The notes can be exported to word processing programs. The program interfaces with SpeedType where you can build a dictionary to speed up editing. They are working on a translation program to convert the audio file to text. The support people are very knowledgeable. Open to feedback and adding features that are requested.
Cons: It was originally developed for the court systems and the company has been slow to incorporate features that would be helpful to the civil market. In the past couple of years they have been working on that. The translation program is somewhat unreliable. If you transcribe your work, it's faster to type it out than to edit from a translated file. It can sometimes take some time (hours not days) to get a call back from support.
"Inexpensive and Effective"
Overall: Soniclear has been a great product and we will continue using it for the foreseeable future. We also use the GovRecorder product and love it as well.
Pros: Soniclear is incredibly easy to install and use. We have provided little to no training for our end users and they seem to pick up on it very quickly. The product is also priced very well and the support is fantastic.
Cons: It would be nice to have global settings that are effective for every user that logs onto the computer.
"Excellent long-term relationship"
Overall: I've been using SoniClear since 2018 and I would highly recommend it.
Pros: SoniClear Court Recorder is very user friendly and easy to navigate. Also, the SoniClear team has always been very helpful any time issues have come up with my system, whether it be a computer crash, hardware issues, or updates.
Cons: The only thing that could remotely be a downside is that since the company is based out of California they are two hours behind me in Louisiana. Luckily, any emergency calls I've had to make to them were answered immediately or within the hour.

Overall: In general, I am happy with the relationship with the company and its work team, excellent people with a great ability to listen and resolve any issue.
Pros: The Software application is very easy to use, this allows users to not require further knowledge.
Cons: It is necessary to have greater capacity in the API to allow integrations with other applications, for example, starting a session, calendars, room reservations, etc.
"Use of SoniClear Court Recorder"
Overall: I have used the program for 17 years and I feel it provides me with all the tools that I need to perform my job as a court reporter.
Pros: Easy to use, user friendly. It's a program that's easy to get started with and Soniclear always provides the user with updates.
Cons: I find the yearly support fee is a little pricey, especially for long-term users of the program.
"Great for Court Reporting!"
Overall: It's been a great software for me the past three years. I have great confidence in the software and know it's going to give me a quality recording.
Pros: It's easy to use. I have confidence that each day it's going work and provide a quality recording.
Cons: I can't think of anything at the moment.
