### "Edgenuity "

June 25, 2021

4.0

Pretty good. We use it for credit recovery during summer school.

Pros

The flexibility to manipulate the curricular materials is a positive. The ability add objectives or alter activities is priceless.

Cons

There was a glitch that caused students who completed coursework to regress and show incomplete percent. We were unable to speak to a customer service or support person.

### "Complete Learning Platform"

August 16, 2022

5.0

This is the best tool I used so far.

Pros

It has all a teacher needs to make sure the students understood the topic. The way it was set up is from exploring to applying concepts. All are relatable. It has short videos. Embedded questions, quizzes, assignment. It is great for virtual learning. As a teacher, I only need to monitor and help out with some concepts once in while. Student are trained to be independent learners.

Cons

Ease of use. It took me a while to familiarize myself with the interface. But overall it's not totally bad.

### "Something to get rid of..."

August 7, 2024

1.0

Not SUPER bad, but not at all good. 1 star out of 5.

Pros

I as a teacher do not believe there are many pros to Edgenuity. One thing I do like is the fact you can view the approximate time to completion for the lessons.

Cons

The videos. The people teaching. Everything seems to be a bit less than what I was hoping for. One of my students refuses to even \*look\* at Edgenuity because apparently "one teacher looks like AI." I take a look, I closed the window immediately. I wish I could unsee that. Also, being an IT teacher, apparently, half the sections are 16 years old, the rest 11, 6 or almost new. Same date updates. Its almost as if (it is as if, actually) they pick and choose lessons to update every 5 or so years... The site was bought and founded in 1998. My current lesson plan? Founded in 2006. So, unless you're teaching 12th graders an AP 6th grade class, you aren't going to get very far with this.

I was just curious. Wanted to see a new software. Turns out its not as new as I thought.

### "Perfectly aligned to my standards and user friendly dashboard for individual student differentiation"

June 7, 2021

4.0

With the use of Edgenuity Courseware, our school district was able to simultaneously teach in person and virtual students during the covid-19 pandemic. We did not have separate teachers to teach the virtual kids and were responsible for both those in our classroom and those learning at home. This program prevented the making of paper packets which was not safe.

Pros

What I liked most was the ability to easily modify courses for my special education students. Additionally, the program made individual course assignments for Tier II and III intervention readily accessible. I really like being able to set retakes with and with out students being able to review previous answers.

Cons

The biggest complaint from students was that the videos were boring. I teach middle school students and many found the speakers to be monotone. It was very easy to incorporate my teaching into the lesson; however, virtual students did not want to watch the lessons.

### "Edgenuity Review"

June 3, 2021

4.0

Overall, I believe this is a great program for students performing on grade level and have either parental support or are self motivated. This program is not well set up for low learners and students who need guidance and prompting to complete assignments.

Pros

I liked that students can self pace and watch videos over again. I also liked the option to print guided notes with the option of the teacher filled guided notes. I have students all over the school, but I am able to access all their work in one location.

Cons

Many of my students have learning deficits, and although you can "modify" the course, it was not always user friendly to my students. I would have liked options to modify the course in a way I could modify within the assignments and quizzes instead of simply eliminating them. The reader that was built in did not read all material and was not user friendly.

Reason for choosing Imagine Edgenuity

This was a district decision, not my own.

### "Edgenuity "

April 20, 2021

5.0

This school year, I am using Edgenuity with my 7th grade math and science classes. So far I am enjoying using Edgenuity. The students are able to work on their own pace.

Pros

I like that the students are able to work on their own pace doing the assignments and projects. I like that it gives the students percentages and scores on lessons and tests. Also, being able to reset an assignment will force the student to go back and listen to the lesson more carefully. The videos seem to be helping the students as well. I like that we are able to see lesson mastery reports. This helps me to see which students need the most help in certain topics.

Cons

This is my first year using Edgenuity so I am still learning everything about Edgenuity. I do not have any cons at the moment.

### "6th Grade ELA Courses "

June 3, 2021

3.0

Overall I am neutral about Edgenuity. It had several good points and was rather easy to use but I believe it was almost too difficult for my 6th graders and most of the material was rather boring.

Pros

Some of the texts were interesting to read. I like how lessons built on each other. Students were able to tell what they scored immediately and were able to tell how far they were in their progress.

Cons

My daughter is in 5th grade and Pathblazer was so much better! My 6th graders would’ve loved having some cartoon videos and more interactive passages like she had in 5th grade. I understand 6th graders are middle schoolers but there needs to be a balance between those transitional grade periods.

### "Makes Virtual Learning a Snap"

July 15, 2021

5.0

Edgenuity helped to make transitioning from in person learning to a virtual classroom setting pretty seamless. My grandson found the modules to be engaging and easy to comprehend. Loved it.

Pros

My grandson used this software during quarantine as part of his virtual high school curriculum and loved it!

Cons

I cannot think of anything that we did not like about Edgenuity. There may have been one or two occasions that the site was down but it was not for long.

### "Edgenuity Review"

May 25, 2021

4.0

Overall, I have been satisfied with using Edgenuity. The students, however, sometimes find the instruction boring and have problems staying engaged.

Pros

The curriculum is all prepared for the user. The software will grade student work, allow for retakes, and allow for customizing the curriculum to fit individual teachers.

Cons

I would like to split the units and have more control over the unit tests. Some of the units are too long, but if you split them into two or more units, the unit tests are affected.

### "Good Courseware software"

September 9, 2022

4.0

Overall it is a good way to work through coursework

Pros

I like how it can organize and structure lessons. I like the assignments and quizzes and the ability to customize skipping, pretest, passing grade, and lots of other options. I like the ability to use videos, show multiple courses, and the guided notes that you can download

Cons

Sometimes I have a hard time logging in when I switch between being an admin and student using the software

### "An Expensive Alternative"

June 3, 2021

3.0

Pros

This software made virtual teaching completely teacherless, besides putting grades in Infinite Campus. However, this isn't a bonus.

Cons

The platform is not user friendly at all, the instructional videos are very long and boring, and the quizzes and tests sometimes covered material that wasn't covered in the lesson.

### "Courseware can achieve a lot with other systems"

February 23, 2021

4.0

Overall it's decent for getting the courses underway and keeping track of students and courses. It's good for teachers also when it matches the other systems. It doesn't always pick up changes coming from outside the system right away though and sometimes needs admin work.

Pros

Courseware used in conjunction with Geniussis or Maestro can help get the learning experience going nicely.

Cons

It seems to have issues with Geniussis at times and doesn't always match up. There are some kinks to work out still.

### "Godsend for Virtual Social Studies Education"

June 3, 2021

5.0

Pros

In Kentucky, we have new social studies standards that require students to focus on primary sources. In the past, we had to look for these sources and chunk them to best serve our students. EdGenuity does this for us! Now I can focus on skills my students need instead of so much prep work.

Cons

It was difficult to show parents exactly where students were performing and understand how it fits into the overall picture.

### "Course review"

June 3, 2021

1.0

Would prefer to never use again.

Pros

Nothing. I would hope to never have to use this software again.

Cons

It was incredibly difficult for 6th grade to navigate and use the program. The material was set up for higher level thinking and did not offer a variety of services for students that need assistance with learning.

### "Great for a quick switch to online learning"

July 27, 2021

4.0

Pros

It was easy to manage during the pandemic and had a lot of options for educators and their students.

Cons

It was good for Core and basic courses but I wish there were more options for advanced courses and CTE courses such as Health Science, A&P, Patho, Accounting, etc.

Reason for choosing Imagine Edgenuity

It was what the district decided.

### "Courseware has massive amount of features"

December 28, 2020

3.0

Great software with tons of options to build a blended learning experience.

Pros

You can setup basically anything on Courseware when it comes to learning. And there are endless possibilities within those options. Elearning, programs, documents, tests, live classroom setup anything you want.

Cons

Its very big, when you are not actively using it, you probably have to much options to choose from. Making the software little less usable.
