Submitting your project for takeoffs take no time at all. Once the interface is learned you can submit a project for takeoff in 1 minute. You are assigned a customer support agent that supports you through your onboarding. They are very responsive and care about your wants and needs. The take offs are very detailed, and they are willing to provide the takeoff in a customized format that is similar or identical to your template you use on a regular basis. They are always looking for criticism in order to perfect their product, so it fits your estimating needs. Cons While you do get your takeoffs in a timely manner, there are times when your takeoffs may be slightly delayed. It would be wise to submit your project as early as possible to account for any modifications needed and time for your review. If there are errors they are quick to fix them Pros The uploading process to initiate a takeoff is so simple, I am able to upload the drawings set and work on other projects while awaiting the BOM. Pros Beam AI has allowed me to provide quality and accurate commercial quotes within my area. Just getting into the commercial painting scene, this has made the process so much easier and straightforward. The customer support with questions or concerns is incredible, and always ready to help. Cons The only thing that I don't like about Beam AI is that I don't have more quotes to submit to be done, so I feel like I under utilize the platform. Another small detail is I still am confused from time to time looking at my takeoffs to understand exactly what it is. However, that is more a factor of me needing to do more quotes through the platform to better understand how to read all of the documents. The software is a game changer for our company. Pros Increased number of bids x3. Increased deal flow and “win” rate. Efficiency created opened up estimator role to add more responsibilities. The online visual of the takeoff allows the user to see the where and what of the takeoff. The Excel download allows for integration into the proposal. There are other tools continually added, even bid creation if your trade has a standard price/cost list. Cons Really, there aren’t any cons. You have to share information. The program is very user friendly. One of my favorite features is uploading updated plans/addendums to a plan we have already submitted. It does a great job at illustrating the changes that have been made. Pros We have 3 full time estimators and Beam AI helps us multitask. We have several projects to work on at a time, so while Beam AI is working on providing the takeoff and quantities, we are able to work on other projects. The program is very user friendly and is very helpful when addendums come in. Cons My biggest drawback to Beam AI is if we have a project that may take a long time to be in the review phase in the program, and with a short amount of time between the due date and when the invite to the project was sent, we have been unable to have the results back in time. The estimates I receive from Beam have a quicker turn-around than any other solution we've used so far. Not only is the estimation process more efficient now, but the takeoffs we receive are also incredibly accurate, which was a pleasant surprise given the quick turn-around. Pros Through my current use of Beam AI, I've found significant improvements in our workflow. The software is easy to use and most importantly, extremely effective for getting our estimates out in a timely manner. The customer support I've experienced with Beam and Attentive has been top notch. Cons I can honestly say I don't have any issues with Beam AI. I haven't encountered any serious bugs, and the very minor ones I have get fixed very quickly by the customer support team. I initially expected the cost to be one of the downsides, but in reality, its actually lowered our estimate creation costs.
