Overall, our experience with Recur has been very positive. The team has been friendly, knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely invested in helping us succeed. They have taken the time to understand our organization's needs, provide guidance throughout the process, and work collaboratively to create a website that meets our goals. While there have been some delays with certain customizations, we appreciate their commitment to finding solutions and their willingness to support us every step of the way.

Pros

We have had a very positive experience working with Recur on our new website. Their customer support has been exceptional—we are always able to speak with a real person, and their team has been willing to meet with us virtually whenever needed. The website has a slick, professional appearance and allows us to use our own photos, graphics, and branding to reflect our organization. We were also able to successfully migrate most of our content from our previous site, making the transition much smoother than expected. The cost is very reasonable, and we have received positive feedback from our members about the new website. Overall, we are very pleased with both the final product and the support we have received throughout the process.

Cons

One challenge has been that some requested updates and customizations have taken longer than expected while Recur works through the best way to implement them. We also currently rely on Recur for many website updates, including posts, as we do not yet have full control over all site content. However, they have also informed us that we will soon have greater ability to manage and update the site independently.

We switched from Wild Apricot to Recur because we wanted a more modern, customizable website and a platform that better meets the needs of our association and members. Recur gives us more flexibility to showcase our programs, professional learning opportunities, and resources in a way that reflects who we are as an organization. Recur has also been less expensive, but cost was not the main reason we decided to make the switch.

Pros

Although our organization has just recently switched to Recur, so far our experience has been largely positive! The transition required some troubleshooting when navigating features of our old platform, and new (i.e., Recur), however, the Recur support team has been excellent and timely in their response. Our new webpage is beautiful, and much more user-friendly.

Cons

There are certain features that would be nice to have available via Recur in the future. For example, we rely largely on online webinars for producing some revenue from our membership, and aim to offer reduced costs, depending on membership, as well as membership levels. This is currently only available via somewhat of a workaround using "events" instead of products. The support team was excellent with finding a solution for us. It would also be nice to have some "editing" control for basic webpage content (e.g., adjusting certain descriptions, adding a tab/webpage, etc.), rather than relying on submitting to the Recur support team to add and/or edit a page. On our previous platform, folks with admin access could in the moment change and update certain webpage content quickly, when needed.

Fantastic! I would recommend the Recur website platform and the on boarding team to anyone looking to make a change. Also for anyone working with hesitant users, the platform is easy to use and the team is very responsive!

Pros

The customer support is fabulous. We have a specific lead who is always flexible in meeting our needs and understanding. With many members in our association the transition was tough for those who struggle with change. However, we can see that this product will meet our invoicing and event needs very well.

Cons

I’m unsure when the full transition will occur and untimely our team will be able to work on the web design. While I’ve appreciated the support available, we also have a desire to make modifications ourselves.

Pros

Recur is a great solution for a small non-profit organization that needs to manage their membership and messaging and much more.

Recur has given us a place for all of our CRM need. The staff is quick to respond to inquiries and is extremely helpful. They are constantly looking for ways to improve the customer experience.

Pros

I love being able to have my client information and communication, event information, and communication in one place. It makes things so much more convenient.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve, and it is not quite as intuitive as it could be for the average user.

ICTFL, the Illinois Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, has been a client of Recur since June 2025. Recur is an entrepreneurial team and has been very responsive to our needs. Our questions and concerns are addressed even when our needs are more complex and may take time to figure out. I appreciate the ease at scheduling a help session and the quality of interactions that I’ve experienced.

Pros

We were looking for an affordable tool to move away from our piecemeal approach to managing our association. Recur has been a good solution for us. We are able to automate many tasks and chose to rebuild our website through Recur for a more seamless integration.

Cons

We've had some bumps and glitches from not knowing how to do a task or some aspect not working as anticipated. When we transitioned our domain name, we hit the biggest bumps. Upgrades have helped along the way and we're looking forward to more updates and improved ways to manage our website and organization.

I was originally uncertain if Recur could satisfy all of my company's needs. I was immediately pleasantly surprised how it met our initial needs and then many other areas of our organization.

Pros

I have been extremely impressed how robust and the overall quality of Recur. I have been amazed that it has streamlined our membership, event management, purchasing process, communication, and many other areas. It has been so useful, I am working with the third organization that I am involved in to switch to Recur.

Cons

I haven't incurred any issues. Every request for guidance and alterations has been met with positive and professional results.

My overall experience has been great. If issues arise, the recur team is always very quick to respond.

Pros

We were tracking membership manually. Recur assisted with moving us to a more streamlined way of managing our membership, collecting revenue, and creating a seamless way of reaching our members.

Cons

I have nothing negative to say about the software. It is a low cost solution that provides great benefits and helps to streamline membership management.

Our overall experience with Recur has been excellent. From the smooth onboarding process to the intuitive day-to-day interface, the platform has made managing our organization much easier. The cost savings compared to our previous software have been significant, and having all the key features—website management, dues collection, and member communications—integrated into one system has streamlined our operations. Recur has truly simplified the way we manage and serve our members.

Recur made onboarding effortless, the interface is super intuitive, and we’re saving money compared to our old software. Having website management, dues collection, and member communications all in one place has streamlined everything for our organization. Highly recommend!
