Ultimate Auction Pro has been considerably more stable. We've run multiple auctions without any technical issues, bidder participation has been better, and the overall experience on the front end looks and feels professional. The pricing is also fair for what you're actually getting. If you're serious about running auctions on WordPress, this is the one to go with. Pros The proxy bidding system is what made us choose this over the other options we were testing. Bidders set their maximum, and the system bids on their behalf. It sounds simple, but many plugins either don't have it or their implementations feel off. Here, it just works cleanly. The other thing that genuinely surprised us was the WhatsApp and SMS outbid notifications. We have a mixed audience, and a good chunk of them respond to WhatsApp faster than email. Enabling that one feature noticeably improved how active our auctions felt. The multi-vendor setup was also a pleasant discovery; when we brought on a second seller, there was no need for a workaround or a separate tool. It was already built in and ready to go. Cons The reporting side has room to improve. You end up pulling most of your auction performance data from WooCommerce reports, which works but isn't exactly built for auction-specific analysis. A proper auction analytics dashboard, bid counts per listing, drop-off points, and peak bidding windows would make a real difference.
