### "The best and most reliable patient management system"

March 19, 2024

5.0

The team at Trac 9 is very responsive and will help with any questions asked. They will continuously train team members on advanced analytics.

Pros

That it guides care and allows clinicians, and the doctors decision-making based upon data

Cons

There’s nothing that I don’t like about Trac 9. It would be great if insurance companies would use this data to make relevant decisions instead of arbitrary decisions, based upon a small set of clinical data that does not contain any psychometrics.

Shannon, thank you so much for your review. It is our vision to help insurance companies make payment decisions based on a set of evidence-based assessments that have been shown to be most predictive of recovery. More effective treatment leads to lower relapse risk - so people get the treatment they need and have fewer hospitalizations, providers are able provide that treatment, and payers have fewer relapse-related claims.

### "Optimize your treatment program with Trac9"

March 27, 2024

5.0

Trac9 helps our residents as well as the therapists who are providing treatment, there is no other tool that provides true data and week over week comparisons.

Pros

Trac9 provides the guidance using true data to assess a client's response to treatment. Trac9 aides' therapeutic discussions about progress and areas of change to tap into discussions that may not have occurred without these weekly assessments and data.

Cons

The only recommendation would be for an average score to be used for the Client satisfaction survey instead of the current scoring scale.

Cindi, Thank you very much for your review. In terms of the client satisfaction survey, I believe your company is using the Net Promotor Score (NPS) functionality which follows a specifically prescribed scoring methodology. The customer satisfaction survey can be customized to each company, so if your company would like a different satisfaction rating question and scale, that can be accommodated.

### "Trac9 at English Mountain Recovery"

March 27, 2024

4.0

Pros

Trac 9 gives our clients a ‘voice’ for things they don’t have the ability or willingness to say to the clinical team. It gives clinical a solid visual to explain the clients’ progress and challenges to them. And mostly it’s another piece of support that we can send them out of the door with that keeps them connected to us. I know we’ve gotten some clients reconnected with admissions/back in treatment through Trac 9 results.

Cons

The only con, and really is more accurately labeled inconvenience, is that sometimes it can take longer for reports to download.

### "So Impactful "

March 27, 2024

5.0

It’s been phenomenal for multiple reasons. It helps us target treatment to the individual as well as the particular milieu at any given time.

Pros

I love the insight we get following the first survey. We’re able to use the data to ensure we’re pairing clients with the therapist best suited to support their needs. We know which therapists are most effective in treating each area measured. If a client struggles with anxiety, we know what therapist is the best fit based on that therapist’s track record treating other clients’ anxiety. The data truly allows us to make informed decisions about best care strategies for each individual client.

Cons

I don’t know if I agree with clients being shown photos of their drug of choice on the very first survey.

Tiffany, thank you so much. In terms of showing photos in the first survey: It's entirely understandable to have reservations about introducing cue exposure therapy at the onset of addiction treatment, given the natural concern for client well-being and the fear of inadvertently increasing relapse risks. However, it's encouraging to know that extensive research (we can send you the studies) supports the safety and efficacy of this approach, showing that it doesn't heighten relapse chances or harm patients. Cue exposure therapy, grounded in the principles of learning theory and extinction, helps clients weaken the association between substance use cues and the behavior itself, offering them a valuable tool in managing triggers. As therapists, our due diligence in integrating such evidence-based practices thoughtfully within individualized treatment plans—complemented by coping strategies and support systems—reflects our commitment to offering effective, compassionate care.

### "Improving SUD Outcomes "

March 27, 2024

5.0

I have been using TRAC 9 since 2019 and it has helped shape how I did therapy. I love when a client is able to recognize that they have made progress; they will begin a session beating themselves up, saying they have not changed or grown but after they see their progress, they are able to give themselves credit and gain confidence.

Pros

I love that clients are given a visual representation of their progress and growth. It allows clinicians to quickly identify risk areas. I love that therapists can see how they are perceived by their clients as well as progress made by their clients. It provides crucial information that drives therapeutic practice.

Cons

Glitches in the algorithm and/or issues with how adherence is calculated.

### "Trac9 Review"

March 27, 2024

5.0

Pros

Information regarding treatment outcomes

Cons

clinical adherence of having to have it open for a certain period of time to register.

Cherie, Thank you so much for your review. In terms of clinical adherence: if the clinician who is assigned to the client reviews their most recent assessment for even a few seconds before the next weekly assessment is due, then that clinician is marked as having reviewed the assessment. We've seen sometimes a clinician will ask someone else to view or print the assessment, and in that case the assigned clinician will not get credit, so you have to be careful to make sure it's the client's assigned clinician who reviews it. Please contact your Trac9 support specialist if you would like more information about it.

### "It's SO easy"

March 27, 2024

5.0

Pros

Trac9 is SO user-friendly. It's incredibly easy to use.

Cons

Would like more information on why specific clinical instruments are chosen (i.e. GAD 7, Beck's Depression Scale)

Review Source

Response from RecoveryTrac

March 28, 2024

April, thank you very much for your review. In terms of why specific instruments were chosen: Dr. Dempsey would be happy to discuss each instrument chosen. This example might be illustrative: CES-D vs. BDI/GAD-7 - While the GAD-7 and BDI are excellent instruments, each psychometrically validated, the CES-D offers several notable advantages. Firstly, the CES-D is recognized for its heightened sensitivity to changes over time, an essential feature for tracking the progression or improvement of depressive symptoms. Additionally, it is in the public domain, making it freely available for use by individuals and researchers alike. Its reliability and validity have been proven across a broad spectrum of populations, encompassing various age groups, cultures, and settings. This versatility makes the CES-D applicable to the widest array of populations.
