Search bar function is great—you can start typing name and medication pops up. I love the newer drug interaction checker—this alone has been worth the cost of subscription and makes it extremely easy to search for multiple drug interactions at a time. Cons The newer mobile app version has worked flawlessly for me so far, but previous version had some kinks where I couldn’t use search bar function. On rare occasion, I have looked up medication for which no information. While not cost prohibitive, it’d be nice if subscription cost was cheaper. Review Source DS Denise S. Pros I love the notes that I keep for certain disease's and medications. I have anesthesia protocols saved there. I have treatment plans... I love the notes portion!!! Cons I do not like when I am looking at dosages and then attempt to look at dosage forms that if brings me back to the original search screen every time. I wish I could go directly from dosages to dosage form. Also, the cost of Pro. I like being able to search for different drugs. I like being able to jump from dosing information to formulation availability. I can favorite medications to find them easier in the future. I also appreciate that it tells you different doses for different disease types. Cons The price has gone up over the few years, but hasn't priced me out yet. I can email pet parents' resources and give them information about their pets disease, treatment and prognosis from the palm of my hand without leaving the exam room. Any questions they have regarding their pets medication or drug interactions, I can answer right away. I also like the algorithm, which allows me to narrow down my differentials and what testing can be run to get answers faster than before. In addition I can look up a disease that I already know how to treat for new and improved treatments that I had not thought of before. Cons I would like to have an option to chat to other vets about their experience using certain drugs and treating different disease, almost like a consultation that’s included. March 20, 2024 5.0 The Plumb’s app makes my life as a Relief Veterinarian so much easier. Being in the go and traveling to different clinics, this is one less thing I have to worry about if the clinic doesn’t have Plumb’s or a current edition. Pros I love that I have access to this formulary no matter where I’m at in the clinical setting and it’s always up to date. Pros I can't imagine my daily life without it. I use every aspect of it and am so appreciative of this product. Truly a life-saver for me! I especially love the references. Have been using Plumbs since I was in vet school in the early 90's, and the on-line presence has lightened my load and made my brain less jumbled in trying to store and recall SOOOO many drug dosages. Pros I enjoyed that it was initially suppose to be keeping me up to date on drug information. Cons I've paid for 3 + years, the membership expires and poof. I'm realizing I have nothing for my money I invested in them. If I would have just bough the book I would have been maybe missing 4-5 monographs butstill had a book to refer to.
