Mergin Maps is a cloud-based GIS solution that helps businesses collect and analyze geospatial field data through mobile devices. The tool allows users to collect points, lines, areas, and photos in the field. Captured data is stored in the cloud, changes are tracked, and updates from multiple users are merged automatically. Mergin Maps allows you to do live position tracking, fill out survey forms and capture and edit points, lines or polygons. You can also connect external GPS/GNSS devices via Bluetooth for high-precision surveying. Map layers look the same as in QGIS desktop so you can set your layer symbology how you want it on the desktop and it will appear that way on your mobile device. Very handy to be able to share projects with contractors follwing the surveys. Everyone I share the MERGIN with is now adopting the software themselves and passing it onto others. The more people that uses it my industry the better as the compatilbility pool is increased amongst the client list. Perfect for surveys abroad but yet to do some, potentially some lined up in the south of France this year which will be a great trial. Pros Accurate GPS, Speedy updates and synchronizations. Ability to work with QGIS. Online tutorials are brilliant and so helpfull. The ability to share projects to multiple devices, colleagues and contractors. Cons I dont have any dislikes with regard the software.
