We have been using Yardstik for only a couple of months, and our experience has been consistently positive. Our assigned Customer Success Manager has been exceptional—she is highly knowledgeable, professional, and responds to our questions quickly and thoroughly.

Pros

Great customer service Platform experience is positive; the dashboard is easy to follow Reports are easy to read and interpret Real-time updates improve visibility and tracking Fast turnaround times are appreciated

Cons

The main drawback is the lack of an archive function for reports, which causes older and newer screenings to mix together.

Great experience, our rep is very attentive to our needs. The training for my staff was good. We were able to streamline the services in several ways. The system was tailored to us and how we prefer to operate.

Pros

Customer Service, training, and the ability to build packages. The prices offered significant savings.

Cons

Reports require a few clicks to see the details. The sex offender search requires additional clicks, but it isn't obvious what you need to do to access it.

Overall, I have had a positive experience with Yardstik. Their team has been great to work with and customer support is also very helpful!

Pros

I like that Yardstik is fully integrated with Avionte, making it easy to request and monitor results for all users.

Cons

I dislike that Yardstik moves the 'info requested' reports to 'considered,' essentially closing them and requiring new requests.

Their support team including our CSM have always been so pleasant. They are honest about how they receive and respond to our feedback, and always deliver on what is being asked of them. We prefer Yardstik to various other vendors we have used in the past.

Pros

Yardstik is a seamless integration within our ATS. Their support team is literally top notch and will always respond within a reasonable time to any questions or concerns. The integration features make our jobs so much easier on a day to day basis. Yardstik keeps us efficient and allows us to use our ATS to it's full potential.

Cons

There are some bugs and tweaks with the interface, such as the interactive page on a candidate record does not align fully with the downloadable report - so you have to rely on the download always. Also would LOVE more visible ETA's without asking :)

We don't hire often, but it's reassuring that there's someone out there that a can check for us and help us keep our dancers safe.

Pros

Easy to use and they seem to have all the resources necessary to make sure we are hiring quality people.

Cons

We do not hire often...maybe one or two new people per year; so we don't have much basis for the "con" of Yardstik. We are sad that they are no longer tied with Jackrabbit.

Overall, my experience with Yardstik has been very positive. The platform is easy to use, the process is efficient and well-structured, and the customer service team is consistently responsive and helpful. While there can occasionally be delays in background check turnaround times due to county processing, the transparency and support provided throughout the process make it a reliable and trustworthy solution.

Pros

The platform itself is very user-friendly. From the start, everything is intuitive and well-organized, making it easy to navigate without needing much guidance. Whether you’re submitting information or reviewing results, the interface keeps things simple and efficient. The process is also impressively streamlined. Background checks are initiated quickly, and the status updates are clear and timely, which helps eliminate any guesswork. It feels like the system is designed with both speed and transparency in mind. What really stands out, though, is the customer service. Any time I’ve had a question or needed assistance, the support team has been responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. They make sure issues are resolved quickly and professionally, which adds a lot of confidence to the overall experience. Overall, Yardstik delivers a smooth, reliable, and user-friendly service backed by excellent support.

Cons

One downside to note is the turnaround time for background checks. While Yardstik provides a smooth and efficient platform, the actual completion time can sometimes be longer than expected. This is largely due to dependencies on county-level records and processing times, which are outside of Yardstik’s direct control. As a result, delays can occasionally occur, especially in jurisdictions with slower reporting systems.

I have never partnered with or known a better team of people! From the sales process to the customer service, they do an exceptional job.

Pros

We’ve had a fantastic experience with Yardstik. Their customer support is top-notch—they are always available and genuinely helpful. Highly recommend them for anyone looking for a reliable and responsive screening partner

Cons

The biggest drawback for us is the reporting depth. We are unable to process background checks that go back further than 7 years. For certain roles or compliance needs that require a more extensive history, this is a notable limitation.

Overall a great experience! Very easy to use and understand, and once again the support and response times are great!

Pros

The customer support is top tier. I really enjoy being able to send in an email with any issues and getting a response typically same day.

Cons

One newer frustration is since the eScreen update we cannot cancel drug tests after the initial consent is filled out and their email is sent to the candidate. There is some cases where canceling the test would be helpful vs having to wait for it to expire / not be taken.

The people at Yardstik are fantastic, they are responsive and quick to help when called upon, I never have to question their desire to assist and support all the reporting and/or adjudication requests that we have

Cons

The only negative is the slightly clunky integration with Fountain (our main ATS) - it works fine once its set up, but has multiple stages that can potential cause issues when ideally it would be one seamless integration stage

Overall, our experience with Yardstik has been very positive. The platform is easy to use, implementation was seamless, and their team has been highly supportive throughout. Yardstik delivers strong value for the cost, especially given the level of automation built into their adjudication process. The platform was easy to transition to, which made implementation smooth for our team. Our onboarding process would be significantly more difficult without the great service with Yardstik. I have been extremely satisfied with the product and service they provide. We have had multiple projects come up that have required assistance from the multiple departments and they have delivered each time.

Pros

Yardstik has help completely streamline our process of vetting independent contractors. Great Team! From initial setup 3 years ago till today, they have been a pleasure to work with. When occasional issues arise, they are quick to provide a solution.

Cons

We have not run into any issues that weren't easily resolved by the Yardstik Team. When the inevitable issue comes about, it is quickly handled.

We’ve had a very positive experience partnering with Yardstik. Their team is highly responsive and provides a level of personalized support that truly stands out from other vendors we’ve worked with. They’re quick to jump in when we need help, proactive in keeping us informed, and genuinely open to feedback. It feels less like a transactional vendor relationship and more like a true partnership. It’s clear they’re committed to evolving their product and staying modern, which we’ve seen reflected in continuous improvements, especially in the candidate-facing experience, which has become much more streamlined and user-friendly over time. From an operational standpoint, turnaround times are consistently fast, which has had a meaningful impact on our hiring speed. The platform itself is intuitive and easy to use, both for our internal team and for candidates moving through the process. Our workflow is highly automated and integrates seamlessly with our ATS, and Yardstik supports that structure well. This allows our team to stay efficient without needing to manually manage every step or frequently log into the platform. Since switching to Yardstik, we’ve been able to significantly improve our time to start for new hires, which has been a major win for our overall hiring operations especially when hiring at high volume in the healthcare space like we are. Overall, Yardstik has helped us scale our background check process in a way that feels efficient, modern, and aligned with both our internal needs and candidate experience goals.

Pros

Yardstik’s customer support is exceptional! Highly responsive, proactive, and truly partnership-driven. The platform is intuitive and easy to use, turnaround times are consistently fast, and they’ve made meaningful improvements to the candidate experience. They’re also very open to feedback and willing to evolve their product, which makes them feel like a modern, forward-thinking partner rather than a static vendor.

Cons

One area for improvement is visibility into background check delays or issues. When a report is taking longer than expected or additional information is being collected, we’d benefit from more proactive updates and clearer context within the platform itself. Currently, we reach out to our account rep for details which works for us just fine. We understand there may be compliance or regulatory limitations around what can be shared, but increased transparency where possible could help us better manage timelines and expectations on our end.

The switch to Yardstik has been amazing. Our recruiters keep asking why we didn't switch sooner. I would recommend Yardstik to anyone.

Pros

Yardstik is easy to use. The process is so simple new recruiters require almost no training. It has dramatically improved our turnaround time on screening allowing us to better serve our customers. It's simple integration with our ATS has saved our recruiters hours of work.

Cons

The only downside we've ran into is that there is only one set adjudication matrix that can be used. In staffing, it would be helpful to assign different adjudication matrix to different report types.

We operate a site that allows offices and dental professionals to find each other for temp and permanent work. Their business terms are easy to understand, their documentation was clear, and their tech support was readily available. I can't recall the last time that the service was down or even slow. Our professionals usually have the results of their background check in just a few minutes.

Pros

Our account manager, \[sensitive content hidden\] is incredibly helpful and proactive. The whole team at Yardstik is easy to work with, but Simone has been outstanding.

Cons

I really have no complaints at all. We have used GoodHire and Checkr in the past so we have a basis for comparison when working with Yardstik.
