It's been pretty smooth from day one, I haven't had any major concerns about the software as it works exactly as intended. I'm encouraged by their progress with adding features too.

Pros

The client portal was the main reason I signed up. But also since they're a smaller company, I was able to speak with the \[sensitive content hidden\] during the sales process and they took on feedback immediately. Great company!

Cons

They didn't have payment processing in place, but it's coming soon!

I actually ended up going with both since zendo is more focused on sales portals. Motion will be integrating this soon though so I'll be switching to motion for everything once they release payments!

Loving the product and looking forward to further updates. It's very intuitive and has significantly improved our workflow. I was looking for something fairly easy to use and set up. Other similar products/competitors seemed way to complicated and overkill for what we need but motion.io has delivered the right balance in terms of setup easy of use and improving our business productivity

Pros

Been a game changer for us in terms of client onboarding and new and ongoing projects. They main benefit to us as a real estate buyers agency is during a property purchase all stakeholders can be invited to a project and follow along next steps and the entire process easily. Instead of us chasing down important documents like signed contracts it's now automated - clients receive a task to upload and they do it themselves. At the same time we can share important files in the portal with clients who need it. We can even invite third party partners such as accountants and mortgage brokers to a client portal and have all files and communication in one place

Cons

Would like to have folders for projects to keep things better organised, and looking forward to an easier to use document signing system

Poor customer service. They really don’t seem interested in trying to solve the problem.

Pros

Lots of potential but has a significant glitch with downloading files in their original format.

Cons

If you share a spreadsheet with a client, they can accidentally download it as a PDF. This is causing frustration with my clients & staff thus causing us all more work.

The sales team in friendly and the support reps get back to you quickly. I feel like this is really meant for creative teams From the forms to the embeddable spots. It really is great

Pros

Customer support is great but rarely needed. The whole app is simple and I love that. The biggest thing is that so far all of my clients have been able to use ti with ease. Not needing to login is amazing and I love the automations that send email notifications.

Cons

Maybe more features, but they keep rolling out cool ones. A mobile app would me amazing as well. I do wish that the team could be automatically added to every new project. I wish you could edit due dates and other details in list mode vs going into each step and taking 2-3 clicks.

I was hunting around for ages to find a client portal which I could leverage to ask clients to answer some questions and upload some documents when they book our online service. I was pulling my hair out after spending so much time trialling products which quite frankly were incredibly difficult to set up and gave a poor user experience because they didn't allow things to be setup in a simple and logical way. When I discovered motion.io I just couldn't believe how far it was ahead in every single way. Just on a completely different level!

Pros

The user interface is simple yet so versatile. The fact you can give a portal with step by step tasks to complete in such a clear way because motion.io has all the necessary building blocks which are so easy to put together to create a fantastic user experience. People love using it!

Cons

I can literally hardly think of anything negative to say about motion.io. I guess the only thing is that I'm sure there's scope to bring loads of cool new features, which they're already doing on a frequent basis. I always look forward to seeing what's new and I can implement for our business.

As soon I's logged in to being our trial I knew immediately that motion.io was on a different level from the perspective of the person setting it up, but also from the end-user perspective. You can develop the function for your use case quickly and logically which is how it should be but other products were nowhere near delivery that. Quite simply motion.io has been like a gift from the gods for us.

Overall, motion.io has been one of the best investments we have made into a third party software solution. They are a critical part of our onboarding process, building confidence with our clients, and helping us to lower the barrier of entry into our solution.

Pros

Creating templates for customer onboarding has been a huge gamechanger! I can easily iterate to improve the customer onboarding experience, and adopt tasking to meet the expectation of the client while keeping everything on task. I also LOVE the client portal! It projects a very professional image to my clients and lends even more credibility to our product.

Cons

I'm not sure I have a good criticism here. Motion.io has really put a lot of thought and effort into this platform. The user experience is elegant and easy to understand.

Very good, the team has been fantastic in responding to my inquiries and made themselves available for quick video calls as well. They also are implementing product updates and improvements on an ongoing basis.

Pros

We require clients to submit a multitude of documents aligned with a checklist and Motion is great for that, it also allows focused messages about a specific task/document without the hassle of emailing.

Cons

Some fine-tuning is needed in terms of tasks/document workflow. At the moment, the client can click a task as complete when they submit a document, but it is not necessarily complete. It may be the wrong document as an example. I would prefer the client to submit a task/document, and to leave it as ''Submitted''. The SME can click on ''Completed'' when the task is actually completed e.g. the document(s) that were submitted is/are satisfactory.

Incredible. I 100% highly recommend the platform if you are looking to optimize systems in your business and streamline operations.

Pros

Motion has helped us streamline our onboarding process, along with simplifying our deal closing process, and overall keeping our business more organized. My team has been extremely happy with Motion thus far, and if we ever need help or have suggestions their team is quick to reply and help as best they can.

Cons

I would say more customization ability would be nice, along with more features, but they are growing and adding to the platform quickly, so I’m not worried about either of those.

The support at Motion.io has been unbeatable. They have quickly answered every question we've asked, quickly implemented new features we requested, and spent time ensuring we understood the system! It has been easy to use, easy for our clients to use, and changed the onboarding process for our clients.

Pros

Having a simple and easy space for our clients to onboard and manage their tasks. We are able to set up automated task reminders, have a dashboard that doesn't require them to learn a new system, and make sure our clients felt confident about what was happening during their time working with us.

Cons

The cost of motion.io makes it hard to add all of our team. Each user has to have a purchased membership and the price quickly adds up for a small business!

Pros

I love the ability to have a client portal that I can add tasks with due dates for the clients and that these can be customized for each client as well as use templates to set them up initially

Cons

I would like there to be more project management tools including "private" tasks so I could manage all tasks inside motion.io. This would allow me to let go of my task management tool and I could upgrade to the higher plan to include the help desk and ticketing.

My overall experience has been great!! Support is friendly, and reachable through email or a chat messenger that seems to always find them. The software has done what I need it to do, and has closed the gap I've had with my computer illiterate clients for some time. You will love it!

Pros

Motion is an extremely user friendly client portal platform. Easy to use on both the admin, and user side. I have struggled to find a client portal that can be used by the computer illiterate, and the computer savvy, and have finally found it! They extend out to some real basic task management abilities, but I wouldn't use it as your primary task management solution. More to assist portal needs. Support is amazing, and US based...which is always nice. They seem to always be available via email or in platform chat Lastly, it includes document review & approval abilities...analytics and a clear dashboard to review them...unlimited document storage....the ability to embed or link outside pages, websites or software....chat messenger....and a ticketing system you can adjust in many ways by creating new forms (which it also lets you do...create/present forms).

Cons

Motion is pretty plain jane regarding its white labeling. There are ways to introduce visual aspects, however, there is no way to adjust the UI to introduce brand colors...or place graphics in a static sections. You have a logo / small graphic section in the upper left corner for a static section. Other opportunities require you to attach them to the portal pages. Ideally, you would keep the upper left logo area, add a top header, and be allowed to adjust the color of the rest of the UI to suit the need. The goal that myself and a motion rep had was for me to use it as a full project management + tasks platform...in addition to a client portal. After months of use, I am finding that it could possibly remove parts of the project management process, but for a single project...not the management of complex projects (maybe if you have zapier and link to something like Asana). The tasks ability won't provide a robust enough platform for you to not want to look for other opportunities. This is amazing CLIENT PORTAL software!!! Depending on your goals...trying to make it more could get you frustrated?

My overall experience with Motion.io is exactly what I hoped for in a project management tool. The white label client portals are beyond amazing. I find Motion to be superior in its class in a multitude of ways. Motion is a tool that will provide ease and upgraded service to many types of businesses.

Pros

The ease of client onboarding is a game-changer. Motion allows for faster client onboarding and does everything from collecting a signature to sending a message. I also enjoyed the ability to keep all communication in one spot with assigned client tasks.

Cons

Some colleagues initially found the interface confusing, so it takes some time to become familiar with. This is usually because the product is so developed and involved, but it is an issue for some. Most issues are small and easily solved, so there is not much there is to dislike about Motion.

Motion.io has been a big help in streamlining approvals. We can upload videos and have clients review, make notes, and approve them on their end! It's helped cutback on sending unnecessary emails.

Pros

Motion.io offers an incredibly useful platform that allows the creation of automated workflows that help perfectly streamline the collection of forms, files and feedback. It's helped us to cutdown on emails and meetings so we can actually be more productive and focus on finishing projects.

Cons

No complaints, motion.io has been incredibly useful to all of us.

I am developing a client portal on my website for direct interactions with clients on different projects. By having this portal I am effectively harnessing clients "for life" as we are supporting them as their accountability partner in their projects. Motion.io has given me the tools and understanding of how to put this together myself rather than contract this out which would cost me far more money. Sure it takes me time to build this but as I am doing it I am able to tailor it to exactly what I want to give me and my clients the best experience.

Pros

Simplicity and support from the Motion.io team.....and its very cost effective. It does exactly what team say it does which is great.

Cons

Nothing that I have discovered yet. If I have come across things that I haven't got a full grasp of the Motion.io team respond very quickly.

We had an demo call with on of their team, which was very clear. We signed up for the trial and they helped us with the setup. We've been using it for a few months now and can't fault it.

Pros

The customisation of the platform is very extensive. Also how easy it is to onboard clients because of it. Lastly the fact you can use Zapier to trigger automations based on actions on the platform.

Cons

I really wish they had a Make.com integration.

Somethings take a few too many clicks to find/to get to. I'd like to see some more simplification elements added. But overall it's been great.
