User friendly, super professional and helpful support team, game changer for growing businesses and those that want to organize and streamline their workflow and communication. You can’t out a price tag on that. Well worth it!

Cons

I have zero complaints and am extremely satisfied.

My overall experience has been positive from the first sales call, through on boarding and the ongoing support.

Pros

The ability to customize a portal for my customers was why I chose Motion.io initially. Their on-going development just keeps confirming they were the best company to provide my customers with a portal to collaborate with our team and make the process seamless.

Cons

I have only ran across a couple of items that would be nice to have but not show stoppers. Although, the communication with the Motion.io team was great and the couple items I pointed out were already on their project list for future updates.

Pros

I love the ease and simplicity of setting it up and using it. I don't even have to record a tutorial for my clients. This is the only tool that makes it super easy to send automated reminders and keep track of my client's to-dos. The magic automations that link one task to the next are also really nifty.

Cons

Unfortunately there are still a few kinks I'll find here and there, such as tasks marked "done" showing back up as active, or having to click twice to assign a person to a task - but I also understand that it's a relatively new product. I also feel that for a tool as simple as this, the price should be cheaper and/or have more of the features included in the lower tier.

Regarding the two issues you pointed out (tasks marked complete showing back up as "Active" and clicking twice to assign a person to a task), we deployed fixes/feature enhancements to address both shortly after you published your review. Regarding pricing, we continue to explore options to ensure the cost of each plan reflects its overall value. As we roll out additional features, changes will be coming.

Pros

Easy function, constantly being improved! They do regular updates and are always taking feedback to make it better for the user.

Cons

It's pretty easy to use on a computer but the mobile version isn't great. Since most clients are using their mobile and clicking an email from there, that can be problematic.

My over all experience has been very positive. My company tried out four other client portal systems before landing with Motion. Our clients have had nothing but good things to say.

Pros

Responsive support and the ability to have global tasks but assign them individually as the need arises. The simple sign in procedure for the portal is also a plus. The ability to use digital signatures in the portal is a huge plus. The chat feature is solid and the notifications from the system are timely.

Cons

I’ve had to learn some different terminology as to what they call things vs what was used to with my previous service.

Pros

It’s by far the best solution for managing client projects I’ve found. The client portal makes it easy to keep track of all communications and it allows my clients to stay up to date on the project

Cons

It doesn’t offer the ability to send proposals, contracts and invoices I. The way I would like. But it has a bunch of work arounds and works well alongside dubsado.

I absolutely love Motion and have recommended it to several people!

Pros

I love that I am able to set to-do tasks for clients and they automatically get a message that they have a task to complete. I think the reminders they receive are helpful also! I like that I can manage multiple projects at the same time and I can prioritize based on due date. I also like that clients to upload documents that I request directly on the portal.

Cons

It is a bit slow, but it is not too bad.

Pros

I love how easy it is to set up from the backend side but even more so how easy it is on the front end for clients. I have spent the last couple years looking for the right system to make project management easier WHILE having the ability to showcase the collaborative efforts between clients but every system was always too complex for them. I didn't have to do any explanation to any client once implemented and it's been smooth ever since. The magic link feature is brilliant. I love customizing portals. So excited for all of the new rollouts because I definitely see my agency growing with Motion!

Cons

Nothing that I like the least but I would like a little more customization or understanding of the automations that include zapier

Pros

Very easy to use, clients adopt it without any problems. If you have many projects to administer and gateway points where you need clients to submit documents, approve drafts and deliverables, sign agreements etc. Then this works perfectly.

Cons

No big drawbacks - it works. Licensing costs can add up, but the key is to focus on those who administer a project with one or more clients.

The support at Motion.io has been unbeatable. They have quickly answered every question we've asked, quickly implemented new features we requested, and spent time ensuring we understood the system! It has been easy to use, easy for our clients to use, and changed the onboarding process for our clients.

Pros

Having a simple and easy space for our clients to onboard and manage their tasks. We are able to set up automated task reminders, have a dashboard that doesn't require them to learn a new system, and make sure our clients felt confident about what was happening during their time working with us.

Cons

The cost of motion.io makes it hard to add all of our team. Each user has to have a purchased membership and the price quickly adds up for a small business!

Motion.io is an awesome product that is constantly pushing out updates and launching new features that makes it even better each week.

Pros

Motion.io does everything we ever dreamed of when it comes to customer onboarding software. We especially like how the portal doesn't require a login, it shows tasks due, and auto-follows up on tasks due with the customer.

Cons

Anything we thought was missing or any rough edges we found with the software, we let Motion.io know, and we saw fixes come out within weeks - so I can't say there's anything we like least right now. They are moving fast on improving the product which is a huge plus!

It's been great, and I highly recommend it! Bringing new clients is so much easier.

Pros

It makes the overall process much easier than before. I do high-level work and it's crucial I track the pieces of not just onboarding but also what happens as we work together. Before this, I was piecing things together, and it was in all different places, making it time-consuming to track.

Cons

I would love it if there were a little more visual design to make the portal look prettier, but that is a small thing that has nothing to do with its use.

Ease of setup and use. The ease with which the entire team was able to use it without a huge learning curve.

Cons

I would like to see a customer database or ability to connect it to our CRM or accounting suite to choose clients when creating new tasks and projects for existing clients.
