July 19, 2025 4.0 I'm a professional tech person, I always have a scratchpad open. Text Edit and Notebook on the Mac, Windows notepad in Windows 11. It's a clean workpace where you can experiment. VideoExpress is that same open canvas with a lot of tricks up its sleeve. Right now, it's also incredibly fast. I had a ChatGPT Pro account and it is very good you just have to keep going. This is more like an art studio where you can try different techniques and use all of their equipment in the cloud. The interface from a UI and UX experience is a hot mess (sorry!) but as a video tool for content creators, it's an incredible value. This work when done by human professionals is kind of hard and it costs lots of money to do it. This tool is about 90% there to passing most humans editing ability. If you are a TikTok creator, this could up your game quickly. Pros I use a lot of the AI Video tools, 2025 has been a leap forward for VideoExpress, VEO3, Sora and many other specialized video creation LLMs. I like that the initial offer is a no upsell one time fee vs yet another subscription. VideoExpress has a wide array of tools, I have been making stop motion paper sculpture videos and they look like they were hand done in a studio. I have also animated some still images of wire meta sculptures for a music video and they are better than I could have done by hand in a week, I made them in minutes, they look really good and I wasn't trying very hard. Experiment with complex and simple prompts to see how much of YOUR personal style you can assert in the look. Cons I think they are behind HeyGen for photo animation and lipsync, but it's still impressive and they update the software.
