### "Utimate solution for Asset Management and Accounting "

September 3, 2024

5.0

Assetic is easy to navigate and functions are self-explanatory. It took us only a little time to get confidence in using the software to our specific requirements. It enables to slice and dice information to produce reports, develop plans and strategies. Assetic has good level of controls and provide functionalities for all frequently used accounting treatments.

Pros

Assetic provides me ability to get a great visibility of Council's large asset portfolio. Not only it can provide high level information on finances, asset maturity and asset health but also enable deep dive into specific information in a user-friendly interface.

Cons

Not much I can think at this point based on our usage so far.

### "Assetic Overal Use Review"

August 23, 2024

4.0

I have learned Assetic from scratch 3 years ago. I implemented, trained and support 273+ users on Assetic, including both desktop and tablet platforms, achieving a 100% implementation rate. The majority of users are satisfied with Assetic's functionality, accuracy, and ease of navigation, which streamlines our daily reporting. I do like that I can support remotely. I like the platform's basic look and design. Yes, it lacks colour. Yes, it lacks cosmetics, but it is workable and there is a work around for all the issues we encountered so far. Overall, Assetic for me is a 9-star. I have never worked on any other Asset Management System and I don't think I want to.

Pros

The reporting is accurate and in real-time, with fully customisable dashboards that can be tailored to my preferences and easily shared. The Tablet App is my favorite feature, as it allows me to work completely remotely in the field without needing any input from a supervisor. All the features on the Tablet is great and helpful towards any work completed with detail and accuracy.

Cons

The inability to change categories is restrictive, and the 16-tile limit per dashboard is a significant hindrance for our large organisation. We need more tiles to accommodate different users and levels effectively. The current history log is quite lacking. We need more user-friendly and detailed information in the history log.

### "Assetic Cloud Implementation Comments"

August 4, 2024

3.0

The implementation was not easy as there seemed to be a no information as to how BRC could get the best setup in Cloud to deliver the best gains for our organisation. Setting up cloud categories and selecting the best use of fields in my opinion was very poorly handled. Not enough understanding of BRC's level of data maturity & functionality using myData was gained prior to implementing Cloud. The implementation team generally have a good understanding of the product, but I believe more focus & professionalism is needed on the training front.

Pros

The main driver to move to a cloud based system was the need for mobility. The ability to schedule work and have it show on the field workers tablets is the main driver for our decision to go to Assetic Cloud over myData. The widgets and displays are a nice feature, but my section is yet to delve into that area in earnest. We have been totally focused on end of year for financial assets.

Cons

There are many aspects to an asset register/asset accounting/work management system and it is difficult to answer in a paragraph. Out team has seen many shortcomings in our ability to extract information useful information for management regarding depreciation at a particular facility. I am by no means proficient yet at getting the best out of the system but a number times we can't easily get the information we had been used to easily getting in myData. The need to do multiple imports for one lot of assets being created has increased our work load by a factor of 3 I feel. The system seems quite convoluted and not very intuitive in my opinion. One small example of this to high light my point is in the Fair Value selection under Valuations to go back and look at the previous Valuation Record we have a forward arrow. Odd when we are going back to the previous record. In our data structure in myData using the tree pane on the left we had Segment/Group Name as a Parent Asset to the child asset record and it was used for grouping and reporting at a higher level particularly financialy. Now in Cloud that field called Segment or Group Name is no longer closely associated, and we don't have the ability in reporting in the Component searches the higher grouping. Accountants are particularly disappointed with this as it feels like we have lost some level of functionality. Some might say that is what the Functional Location is for. When we search Component Module / Treatments to report our assets under the Local Government Infrastructure Plan we cannot add in the Segment or Group Name or any Functional Location information so our only option is multiple reports and merge the data in excel. I had hoped with the improvements to data structure from mydata that the searches would be better. These thoughts are off the cuff this morning. I think there is a lot of areas for improving the user experience.

### "Survey Response"

August 12, 2024

4.0

Overall....we are relatively satisfied with Assetic. Probably the best feature is that we have the managed service arrangement to assist us in using the software.

Pros

Relatively simple user interface for Asset Register - upload/download tools for asset data

Cons

Maintenance Module seems to be clunky and a bit outdated. We cannot use it to full functionality in terms of logging work orders in the field were there is no phone reception.

Reason for choosing Assetic

In the end Assetic were the strongest candidate.

### "\[sensitive content hidden\] are great, "

August 23, 2024

4.0

Rather good, still getting used to searching through the asset fields in there but overall, it functions pretty well.

Pros

I think the interface is easy to work with and the field application is also fairly easy to work with.

Cons

I think some of the search profile options could be better, it would be good to not have to jump between multiple modules to get what you need for example, it would be good if there was a overall maintenance module you can pull from instead of it being split down. The new reporting module though in time might take care of this. I also think the mapping module could be better, i.e it would be good if you could use a mapping interface to pull all your out of the system to a csv.

### "Great Upgrade for Us!"

September 11, 2024

4.0

Having used a very outdated spatial based system and recently completed migration to Assetic - it is a great end user function, searching and reporting.

Pros

Once populated, the searching and reporting capabilities within the system are great. Being able to also limit role access to those who need access to certain parts of information or ability to update information. There are so many attributes which can be populated not only for Finance but for Asset Managers.

Cons

There is so much information - at times it is hard to ascertain where some information can or will be located.

### "Assetic a Comprehensive AMS"

August 13, 2024

4.0

Assetic/Brightly has been quick to resolve issues when reported and are very supportive of the system including in some cases areas that some companies might claim as consultation work.

Pros

Very comprehensive wide ranging product that provides a true single point of truth for all assets. It ability to store a detailed asset register recognising the componentry of assets, the ability to value and analyse data within the product is very impressive. It works management system is a great central record of all works.

Cons

Finding assets can be hard and the plethora of fields can be daunting to work through. It would be nice to be able to turn off the visibility of fields. The field application could be simpler and have a better GIS interface.

### "Sorell Council Review"

August 25, 2024

4.0

As a whole Assetic has been easy to use and learn. Having all of our asset information in one place has been a benefit to the organisation. There area aspects of the app that could be improved on but overall it works well for our Council.

Pros

One stop shop for asset register, finances and condition / depreciation modelling. Staff are friendly and happy to help solve any issues which pop up or answer questions. Staff are also very knowledgeable about asset management.

Cons

The Assetic App could use improvements. Many of the features are buggy and could be improved upon. We have suggested several improvements which would help with functionality, but have not been implemented.

### "Need better documentation and instructions"

August 4, 2024

3.0

I have struggled to get a grasp of the architecture on how assets are stored and the multiple layers of data, which I put down to poor documentation on how to set up and use. I find it frustrating when navigating between assets that you almost need to go back to the start - again maybe the instructions are not clear enough. Data mapping shows nearly a thousand cells for information on an asset, nearly all of them system defined, and we may not use that information. Having come from a different AM system, I had heard how good this one is but I am a bit disappointed. It seems a little overly customised which is making it complicated.

Pros

It seems to work, and its cloud based - that's about it for now.

Cons

The help function and help documentation. The online training is lacking in many parts. A good user guide - especially on how to produce reports would be good.
