SubBase customizes the platform to suit NexGen's specific needs or workflows and how we manage our orders. Pros Their team's responsiveness and overall customer support are by far the best of any software platform I've used. Cons There isn't anything I don't like about SubBase. They continue to release new features and improve the platform every month but as with most customers, we always want everything now! Extremely simple to use compared to other procurement software. Customer service team is available to answer questions and provide assistance. Pros Simplicity and customer support is at the top of the list; SubBase makes material procurement easy, allows you to track orders, manage material, and keeps all record in one place. Cons Better mobile access and electrical material catalog will be beneficial for our material requesters. Pros The reconciliation between PO and invoice and the integration with QB Cons 1.- Subbase does not have the option to create a PO to one vendor with multiple jobs. 2.- Subbase does not have the ability to have in one place the material for the project and track how many items are pending to buy, etc 3.- After month in closed in QB, Subbase does not sync any invoice if the month is closed. October 22, 2025 5.0 Overall experience has been great. Both office staff and plumbers have found this product to be an asset to our organization. Pros Easy to use and the transparency for both the office and field staff. This improved the communication within our company. It also eliminated a lot of phone calls between our staff trying to see if material was received and where it was located. Cons Like with any new software there is a learning curve. However, their staff is spot on and always willing to help when and where necessary. It keeps quotes, POs, delivery times, and supplier communication well-organized in one place, making everything faster and more efficient. Cons There’s a small learning curve at the beginning, but it quickly becomes easy to use. The technical support team is excellent and very helpful. They treated it as an opportunity, collaborating closely to design and implement a solution. In the very first month of testing their invoice price checking/verification module, we secured a $24,000 vendor credit for overcharges—clear, measurable ROI and a strong validation of their approach. Pros Direct access to principals and true subject-matter experts. Their personal passion and hands-on involvement meant we weren’t dealing with a low-level intermediary—we were working with decision makers who could move quickly. Cons No meaningful negatives. Our use case initially fell outside their standard product model, but the team embraced it and adapted rapidly. They are quick to implement new features and constantly asking for feedback to improve their product. Pros The user experience. SubBase is intuitive and easy to navigate. Pros User friendly - very great customer service and phenomenal product. Cons Had to put elbow grease into our superintendents who are used to only making phone calls in the field.
