My overall experience has been very good. I can manage my business with an adequate level of proficiency. More recently, when I have been in the zoom sessions, I have come to realize that I am not utilizing all of the Like Sew capabilities. I know I need to understand more of what I don't know.

Pros

Like Sew is an easy to use Point-of-Sale (POS) solution for new shop owners or for shop owners looking for an All-in-One product to manage their inventory, sales, customer communications, and customizable internet visibility. When I was new to owning my business, the onboarding experience was linear in its educational progression so I did not feel overwhelmed by the amount of information I was taking in.

Cons

1) When my son and I offered suggestions for ideas we wanted/needed to make our business streamlined to us, we received minimal feedback that didn't make me feel valued as a customer. An explanation as to why something wasn't appropriate or considered important would have served us better. We came from a Word Press environment where every solution was a la carte. 2) It is difficult to find answers to some of the questions I have had when using the search bar. So, I have given up. If I don't have the key words, I can't find my solution.

Our experience with Like Sew has been amazing. It's like a dream come true for our company. They met all our needs plus always willing to do more and listen to suggesting to better their product and services.

Pros

We are a small retail fabric shop who did everything manually before like sew. Like Sew has turned out to be much more than i ever hoped for. The inventory management is incredible. Our checkout system has improved 100%. The margin of error by clerks has dropped dramatically. The value for the money is amazing. Customer support is very good and i am extremely satisfied with this companys provisions for all our needs

Cons

There is nothing negative to say about this company and their product. There were times we needed help to understand our suggest a need but the support and desire to meet our every need is always quickly addressed.

Overall it does what I need it to do but it has a lot of room for improvement. It would be great if uploading products, SEO and Suggested products was easier.

Pros

Not having to integrate with other apps and having it sync with my website. Remote access to the software

Cons

The website. It is not easy to make changes or change the build like other website builders I have used. I don't like that different business pay different monthly fees. I often hear from other owners that pay less or the same as I do with more features. Customer support has gotten worse over time with longer waits and less resolution.

Good. It has improved our business and ability to run a medium size fabric store with modern features for managing 16,000 in stock skus at a time.

Pros

Server is online and we do not need to maintain a server on site. Ease of use for new hires, comprehensive features including online purchases, classes, email marketing, and purchase order system. Support is available and completes tickets pretty quickly. The monthly charge is very reasonable and they do not nickel and dime charge for additional features.

Cons

Server is online and when it does not work we are basically not able to function. We had a major outage with AWS once in 2 years. We have occasional slowdowns or certain features that will not work for unknown reasons. The system has a difficult time with reporting large samples of data like a year's sales at a time or a large department. Generally service comes back quickly and we can recover without too much hassle or loss. I will admit that we ask a lot of the system, especially one running on a browser with features rivaling enterprise systems at a much higher cost.

Overall it has been a very positive experience. I have been a customer for many years, initially for my online shop running my poit of sale retail store through a different program. 7 Years ago we switched to using Like Sew for both online and point of sale and what a difference!! I am so glad that I made the switch.

Pros

I love the integration between point of sale and online store making inventory management accurate. It is user friendly and easy to teach to team members.

Cons

There are minor changes I would like to see made and have made suggestions but they are not critical to day-to-day operations.

### "Integrated System is a Game Changer for Small Business!"

We've been a customer for 6 years, and use every module available. We've been pleased! The company continues to innovate, which we've experienced (reporting upgrades, payment processing moved in-house, etc.). These two were pain points for us, and Like Sew listened to customers and solved! The Marketing side (newsletter emails) has struggled a bit, but the latest upgrades are big improvements. I have a technical background, so I don't call support as much as some may, but when I do (often on the weekend), I get responsive support that can actually solve problems (and not just take info and promise a return phone call.). At the risk of repeating - the integrated approach (one set of inventory data and customer data) is a game changer - especially if you've experienced systems that were not this way (one internal POS and one web POS.) Having web inventory updated real time in response to in-store sales is huge, and prevents the very uncomfortable (and time consuming) conversations with a customer where you explain that "..yes it WAS on the website but no, it's not available anymore..." and then you do the dance to try and sell them something comparable! We're a happy customer and would absolutely choose Like Sew again!

Pros

The single unified approach to shop management is a game changer - ONE set of customer records across POS/reporting/marketing, ONE set of inventory data for POS in-store and web sales, and a single point of contact for issues with charges, chargebacks, etc. - no finger pointing between POS and payment processor.

Cons

Nobody likes expensive stuff, and Like Sew, isn't cheap. But - you get what you pay for! The cost the various disparate systems, coupled with the time to sync data, makes the costs worth it.

I have been happy overall. Most of the time it runs smoothly and I have learned more about computers and websites than I ever thought I would need to know. When you know where to look most of the time things are self explanatory.

Pros

95% of the time it works perfect. Just like anything there is always room for improvements, but overall this is an excellent product and it is easy to figure out on my own. When I do need to call customer support the issue is usually resolved right then and they are always helpful.

Cons

Sometimes changes are made without a heads up, which causes grief. Especially in the middle of the day when suddenly things are different.

Overall I am very pleased with the service I have received from LikeSew. It is perfect for a small shop like mine with everything being in one place.

Pros

Like sew has everything I could need in a POS for my quilt store. The way it figures my yardage, the website, and the ability to send newsletters. I love that the information for most of my newly purchased inventory is stored in a back office. It makes entering new inventory so much faster and efficiently. Most of the time, when I need to talk to someone I can easily reach them on the phone and they can walk me through any problem I am having.

Cons

The cost is a bit high for my budget. One thing that I struggle with is some of the extra categories that are on the screen that are not relevant to my business. More streamline would be better for me. I also have trouble with the website setup. I get very confused and then I can't figure it out.

I loved the last training session they had - very informative to us old timers! Others have used different parts and made it more real to those of us that hadn't tried that part yet!

Pros

They have always been very helpful to me when I don't understand how to do something. I am not super tech savy and being a one man store makes it harder to get to everything.

Cons

Sometimes it takes a minute for a call back - when you are having customer problems that makes it seem like hours. The quilt shop Facebook pages have helped - state your problem and someone else might have encountered it and give an answer!

I feel trapped. As a POS it has some nice features for fabric shops such as assembling precuts and kits. The main reason I use it is for fractional yardage. Tech support is lacking. The support people who answer the phone are just gatekeepers who often cannot help with solutions on the spot. When a solution isn’t found on the spot, it may take weeks or even months to get an answer by email. Seldom have I gotten a call back. Unfortunately their integration with Shopify renders many of LikeSew’s best features, such as class registration, unusable. And of course the Shopify fees and app add-ons increase monthly cost yet again. The bottom line: LS is very good at some pos functions and the back end. It’s not good as a marketing and public-facing solution.

Pros

It’s web-based and therefore accessible anytime, anywhere. It’s easy to use, particularly as a register. Inventory management is adequate.

Cons

The website function is primitive. Design is poor with limited templates. All LikeSew websites look the same and certain changes must be made by the tech team which is inefficient. Editing functions lack drag and drop. It still uses a table format for adding photos which results in wonky looking pages. The email and mailing list functions are useless, so I need to pay extra for Constant Contact. Setting up sales and coupons is extremely limited.

They are just in it to collect whatever fees they can. I think their customer service try as hard as they are allowed to and they are well trained on what to say to appease the customer, but we just have not been happy with the lack of solutions to the problems we are experiencing. I feel totally ignored.

Pros

They talk a good story up front but there are many, many problems with the website and POS system. Not a happy customer!

Cons

Random online orders show up with amounts not ordered. You can't manage the order of variations on a product and how they show up. Their online ordering goes down quite often and they don't care. Abandoned Cart orders are not communicated with and you aren't able to delete them. They are bulldogs about making you use their credit card system.....and then don't follow up. You can never speak to a manager and whoever you do talk to just wants to transfer you to someone else. They cannot get the Cost of Goods Sold to work on inventory numbers. They do not follow up with you on concerns you bring to them.

Even though I place a work order online I end up calling to get results. I wish you would integrate with Square.

Pros

At first they really seamed like they were geared to work with the textile industry. Website included that I have no clue how to use.

Cons

In modules/work orders the orders keep disappearing and I can only find them by the date received. Inventory keeps disappearing. I would like to change my website landing age but it is way too expensive for my small shop.

We are extremely happy with Like Sew. Technical support is awesome in helping find the needed answer. Support is always friendly and never makes you feel rushed.

Pros

When we started our business, we were with a different back office/pos system and within 3 months switched to Like Sew. The switch was seamless and the training was excellent.

Cons

There are several applications that it would be useful to have such as being able to opt-in or opt-out of a subscription at any given time and being able to have an option to list all the items needed for a project that allows the customer to pick and choose what they don't have.

Overall we love Like Sew, we migrated from TRS back in the day and have seen Like Sew grow tremendously...

Pros

Ease of use, we love the time that it saves us by only having to load a product once and it's in inventory, on the website etc.... We also love using the credit card processing option for security and good pricing.

Cons

I wouldn't call it a con, but I would like to see the time clock be improved, let employees leave a message for eg. if they forgot to log out or a note about what they worked on etc....also when making a change add/delete of time you have to refresh and redo dates to see the change...that's a pain.

We’ve been with them for over 6 years and have no plans on leaving!

Pros

Great POS - easy to use, easy to teach to new employees. Over the years many updates have been made (ie inventory searches) which have been nice.

Cons

They’ve had a lot of learning along the way as they’ve grown, which at times has frustrating when problems don’t seem to get addressed quickly. Right now it’s the emails, but improving.
