It feels awesome to work with this Backend as a Service (BaaS) and to deploy highly interactive realtime applications in next to no-time. However there are some issues that plague it - such as the inconsistent database relation mechanic and the inability to make relation queries. Pros \- Ease of use - A ton of features (Database, Authentication, Push Notifications, Teams, ...) - Self-host option - Cheap Appwrite Cloud - Helpful community and fast response times - Open source Cons \- Relations in the database still being in beta and queries being unsupported - Complicated to set up production-ready self-hosted environment Switched from [Firebase](https://www.capterra.com/p/160941/Firebase/) Appwrite offers a free, open-source option as well, not just the Appwrite Cloud as the Firebase does. Relations do exist in Appwrite's database, even though they don't have the full support yet.
