Changes are easy to make and it's easy to adapt the site to our needs while maintaining a professional and polished look. Support has been lightning fast any time I have needed it. All around phenomenal product and I really appreciate the service! Pros We use HOA Sites for our management company website. It gives a very professional look, and is very easy to customize to our needs. The end result is a very polished and we are happy to have representing our brand. Cons I wish there was further customization of the request manager feature, and the format in which it forwards the information to our office, but all in all that is a very small detail and we are very pleased with the overall product. July 2, 2024 5.0 Our overall experience with HOA Sites has been extremely statisfied. We have implemented a resident website that exceeds all the expectations of our board of directors and most importantly our residents! HOA Sites is by far the most featured and cost effective product compared to other competitors in there industry! Pros The two biggest advantages of HOA Sites is the annual cost and the breath of functionality available in the product. Additionally, it is a very easy to use product and flexible for an information technology person to customize. It is an extremely easy product for non-technical staff to use with the proper training. Our staff leverages this product daily to manage our resident website and communicate to our 974 neighborhood homes. Cons HOA Sites has tons of functionality. As an information technologist, I found it very easy to work with and customize. The downside of HOA Sites is it is a "Jack of all Trades, Master of None". What I mean by that is it provides the basic functionality of a given feature. For example, it does a great "basic" job at event registration, but does not handle any advanced features (e.g. Barcode check-in of tickets, Not able to select quantity of tickets for purchase other than setting up specific Registration Types, etc.). The initial setup wasn’t too overwhelming, and ongoing maintenance is fine. That said, we use only a few of the functionalities, primarily because of the structure of our organization. Unlike most HOAs, our membership is voluntary, and billing is managed outside the site. We considered consolidating membership management onto the site, but the transition was too difficult. Plus, it would have required a considerable education effort to bring our members up to speed, and it wouldn’t have offered much benefit for our all-volunteer management team. Pros Once we learned our way around the back-end, it’s fairly straight-forward to manage. A basic understanding of how HTML thinks can be helpful. But you don’t need to write code. Management of our site is not burdensome. Cons The downside of the templates is that there’s less flexibility. The only real headache I’ve found is that it is difficult to control placement of graphic elements, and the options for text appearance are sparse. At this point, years after we set up the site, the design is looking very dated. Wish I could wave a magic wand to spruce it up! And online customer service is very quick. Pros Quick customer service. Attends to every detail an HOA needs in its website. Online customer service is quick. Lots of benefits for the cost. Cons When we make a suggestion it is only electronic and we never hear about whether or not the suggestion is being considered. We’ve made a few suggestions that would have very high value for us (so we assume others like us) and we don’t know if they are even being considered. We switched from Nabr Network which was built to serve management company needs and not actual HOA residents’ needs but the management company sell it as if it will meet the residents’ needs. Pros The etext driven use of this site program is so flexible and easy to train multiple users. Cons The Page Set Up pages does need to have a proficient user in general website usage in setting up some areas of the site. Pros I'm on two HOA Boards (home and vacation property). I liked HOA Sites so much at our vacation board, our home board voted to implement it there also. It is SO VERY EASY to configure and install. HOA Sites staff walks you through the implementation. It's easy to use, configure, and administer and the customer service is outstanding. Cons There isn't anything NOT to like about it. Our HOA depends heavily on it. Pros A great package, lots of functionality, great support. Keep our HOA organized (documents, information, FAQs, etc.). Email publisher is a great tool for mass communication to all homeowners. Cons We haven't found much we can't do. It's a package so we have to stay within the pre-defined functionality. Pros Many useful features such as directory, photo albums, email tool, page builder and editor. Speedy support. Unlimited file storage, but with relatively small file size limits. Cons Some operations involving linked tables (properties, users) a bit cumbersome. Would be nice to have higher file size cap on photos.
