Ik heb verschillende productie applicaties gemaakt in Thinkwise.

Pros

Snel en gemakkelijk een database driven applicatie maken. Ik zie nog veel Excel sheets die als database gebruikt worden bij bedrijven maar met Thinkwise kun je die allemaal netjes in een echte database huisvesten met een gebruiksvriendelijke customizable GUI...

Cons

Ik ben nog geen echte nadelen tegengekomen, enige wat ik me kan bedenken is dat je als Thinkwise developer wel wat SQL kennis moet hebben, maar het is dan ook low code en niet no code.

Het is een prima bedrijf, de applicaties die we er mee kunnen maken zijn professioneel en functioneel zeer gedegen.

Pros

Het stel ons in staat om een applicatie uit te brengen die op schouders leunt van betrouwbare en moderne techniek. We hoeven ons daarom ook geen zorgen te maken als de onderliggende programmeringstaal veranderd dat we zelf aan de gang moeten of achterlopen. Omdat er meerdere partners zijn en er een 'store' is bestaat er de mogelijkheid dat je elementen kunt hergebruiken. Zo richten wij ons er op dat onze modules bruikbaar zijn voor andere partners, dit zorgt voor een snellere time to market wat weleens als minpunt wordt geacht bij platformen om een app te maken.

Cons

Omdat het een platform is hebben we minder controle op schermen die eindgebruikers kunnen zien. Er is een grote bibliotheek waaruit we kunnen kiezen maar logischerwijze zit daar niet altijd alles in.

Reasons for choosing Thinkwise

We overwogen in te zetten op Microsoft technologie vanwege logische redenen. echter als Microsoft om wat voor reden dan ook een aanpassing maakt dan zijn wij als partner vereist om daar tijd aan te spenderen zonder dat daar een duidelijke notifcatie aan vooraf gaat. Dat is voor ons niet werkbaar.
