This is the ideal software for an independent restaurant to make professional menus and get them printed in house on the cheap. Way better than Canva, and forget using word/publisher. It is truly made for restaurants/events/venues etc. FOOD it is made for food people. I can tailor fonts, upload custom fonts, match custom colors, and the catalog of stock graphics is very good. The most powerful thing they have are the templates..wow so many to choose from and you don't have to go through anything but menus. You can get them to even do your printing affordably if you don't want to do it yourself. Overall, they are a great small business that is doing business right here with the people you meet everyday. I like that. Pros I have been using MHM for almost 10 years. It is easy to use, but not too complicated, and has powerful features without trying to cater to anyone but restaurants. It makes beautiful menus, online signs, flyers, and it is all 100% restaurant tailored. It is so much cheaper than a custom design, but I can make my menu work anyway I want it. They even integrated with Square so I could sync items from my POS. I requested this feature and was able to talk to someone that was a real person at the company. Cons Occasionally, they will update their software and break something. This is rare, but it is usually fixed in a day. It isn't anything major, but the opposite of this is, they are always trying to improve the experience. I do not like not being able to manage my graphics/pictures catalog separately. I can delete pictures, but my catalog is huge after all these years and it is faster to upload a new picture than to try to scroll down forever to find the old picture. I just wish there was an interface just to handle the photos/graphics I upload. The other thing I am not super thrilled with is the digital sign option cost. I can't justify it unless I was a 1 or 2 screen store. I think the cost per screen is just too much if you have more than 3 screens or multiple areas you want to have signage. The implementation is excellent - bar none...but cost.. I have similar places for 30% of the cost. Alternatives considered [Canva](https://www.capterra.com/p/168956/Canva/) Reasons for choosing MustHaveMenus Overall easier to use and more affordable. Canva has way more features I don't use daily and just get in the way. I can actually train employees to use MHM and not mess up my menus. Huge fan! Cons This is going to sound hokey, I know ... but there is nothing I like least. Every time I think ... wow, wouldn't it be nice if MHM had a template for (insert event/menu here) ... I have really no complaints other than some technical issues and editing options that need to be made available. Pros I love the many options and relatively simple process once you learn the ins and outs. I also love the ability to put menu or specials on screen and update from anywhere. That is a big help and game changer. Cons When uploading images no tags are optional and there is no ability to move uploaded images around to make them easier to navigate. I run specials that rotate and I need to be able to categorize my uploads, tag them to make easier to find and move my uploads accordingly...drag and drop would be great so that I do not have to scroll from top to bottom to find what I am looking for. So there are no pros whatsoever. Cons Customer service is out of control. Customer service with your company is nonexistent & it’s appalling. You honestly need to look into this - especially how much I pay as an annual membership.
