Pros AVP is very easy to use from a user standpoint, and not too bad from an administrators standpoint. You can easily maneuver through the software and update the areas you need to, and the support is fantastic. I have to say that Epicor has the best support from all of the different ERP systems I have used, well minus, Sybase/Optimized NALCOMIS support, but that is the US Navy. Cons Reporting is difficult. There isn't a real place to pull reports. We have a Datapoint which can tell us how the tables are connected, but cannot pull real reports. The strong and multiple functionalities from P21 allowed us to address all aspects in a "deep enough" manner even though it is per definition a distribution software. I do not see a return on our investment. It is way too much money for what you get and pushing people to the cloud where they have to spend tens of thousands more dollars, but get "free stuff" like wireless warehouse that we will not use is very frustrating. Pros I like the ease of use with the most used modules. The screens are easy to read and can be customized. Cons Where to start. I do not like the pages rather than scrolling through history. I do not feel like it is worth the insane amount of money we pay for it. Customer support is often very slow to resolve an actual issue. I do not like having to go back and forth in emails over something that could be resolved in a 10 min phone call. I do not like that support has been sent to different countries. I believe that it is the best software fro Distribution on the market, although not the cheapest. Business Process New Associate Computer Software Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "One of the good ERP accounting Software" April 3, 2020 5.0 i) I was working for a medium sized plumbing company as a Solutions Providing Consultant and they were maintaining their records in Tally ii) After some Google search and research I found this Software iii) I really loved the Dashboards customization so that my client can customize it however he wants, he can see all the sales in a single place Pros i) I personally like Linux OS and this software is specifically designed to work on Linux OS ii) Its overall price is cheaper as there is no cost for OS iii) The Dashboard and export functionality impressed me iv) Cons While I was using it I couldn't import million records from Excel to this Software. I don't know whether they have upgraded the software or improved and made it to possible. Cons "Tabbing" to jump from field to field can sometimes get messy. When it's first opened you can use the tab key to jump from different fields like any other GUI. However, after some use for reasons unknown, eventually the "tab track" will slip off the rails and suddenly hitting the "Tab" key just makes it cycle through the top row of fields instead of the entire interface. The platform is available in different ways, RDS, mobile app, web interface, which is great. Pros The very specific functionalities it offers. It is a very powerful tool for our purchasing department, and hope to explore even further on the possibilities. Cons That the very specific functionalities, are programmed through multiple windows. Sometimes trying to figure out why it doesn't work, only to find out that you forgot to enter something in a different menu. SQL platform allows custom integration. Cons Does not easily allow mail or email advertising integration. Processing speed is good. Reports are easy to create. Pros Ease of use and almost no down time. Inventory, A/R, and pricing are all "real time". Cons Newer versions seem to jump around e.g. trying to open one application and getting another. Ease of adding things like contract pricing and customer item numbers Cons Lack of basic reports that make sense to me. (seems reports must have been written by a programmer that would not be using them on a daily basis). High cost of special reports and basic changes. If Eclipse itself operated like JM, then I would give it 5 stars. Pros Only the job management adder is worth using. It is VERY user friendly when it doesn't act glitchy. Food & Beverages Used the software for: ### "Buyer beware" December 26, 2014 1.5 Pros It appears deceptively easy to use, but only after you become intimately aware of tab locations and features, and it has a somewhat pleasant GUI. Actually, there isn't much that I really like about it. Cons It has noticeable shortcomings, such as the inability to reference two or more items as one general preferred item. In other words, if you have the same item that is called 3-4 different item names depending upon the manufacturer of the item, it doesn't allow you to establish the preferred item, and we have been told this feature is a few versions away. The shipping address on POs is often incomplete because the user very often runs out of available space, yet typing in the order screen doesn't do the same thing. The most aggravating feature by far is the customer quotes.The software expressly forbids you to dictate a vendor other than what the system has established as the preferred vendor. It absolutely excludes the option. So what happens is that the order has to be changed to another vendor when processed. If you forget to do this at a later date, you can literally cost your company hundreds or thousands of dollars because the wrong vendor was given the PO. Review Source SS Scotty S. This is a very good ERP system and from a Purchasing/Inventory stand point this system is very robust. There is nothing I feel like I need that I don't have. Pros For a large system Epicor Supply Chain is fairly simple. It makes it simple to find what you are looking for. Most of the separate quarries you would want to see are a click away. Most anywhere you have a part number entered, you can click into open demand, inventory history, or available suppliers. Cons We implemented about 3 months ago and setting up to manage our inventory properly took some work. Because of its complexity and comprehensive nature, it can be a little intimidating to new users, but by incorporating many standard paradigms, it's never been a problem to train users or adapt the system to keep us performing at optimum levels. Pros As an open database product, we have complete control over the information. When we have run into any issues or had questions, the support staff has been stellar. Used the software for: ### "" May 8, 2013 1.5 We updated from their Acclaim System to the P21 Operating System, and have had nothing but problems. For a system that is supposed to be a complete system, it is not! It does not have payroll or include a financial spreadsheet; we had to buy an Excel program, that is the only way to do a financial statement. The order processing is very, very slow, especially for non-stock items. On Acclaim it would accept a multiplier, on P21 you have to figure out the cost and enter them individually - no multipliers are available. And those non-stock items stay in the system forever! So you can resell them, but if the price is incorrect and someone does not check them, you are in trouble. You have to delete them manually. On the purchase requirements report, it does not show you inventory methods, usages, ect., so if you want to edit that information you have to do so manually as well, on each item! It does have some nice features, but if you are an Acclaim user I would highly recommend staying put! Review Source gM genera M. I've tried a couple others but Epicor hands down has the best catalog system out there to date. They have logged many decades of data pertaining to everything for a vehicle. Cons price! They price is far too expensive, Epicor knows you NEED their catalog to do business via ecommerce. You get assigned a sales guy who's mission is to sell you their cloud service, catalog and other cool features that your business may or may not need. It has a wide range of functionality making it a useful product for a massive amount of companies. Cons This product is super expensive. You are paying for the brand, everyone has heard of it. Profit 21 is an incredibly powerful tool but because its made for so many different types of companies there are a lot of functions that you don't need. This makes the interface really busy.
