Great support and great technical quality of the platform. I could even have access to the development team for more technical questions and I really felt a very high level of technical excellence as well as a lot of customer focused attention at all levels of the company.

Pros

Modern and highly flexible asset management solution that can do much more than "Just" Asset Management. It can also be used as a backend as a service to build customer facing custom UI and will soon ship a built in Service Management solution!

Cons

I would love to get more features to build a fully fledged Service Management portal for IT teams (ITSM) and also for business teams (ESM). I am happy to know that Starhive team is currently working on this missing feature!! I am looking forward to testing it!

Very satisfied! The team behind Starhive is world class. Their support is top notch. I believe their initiative will grow towards international markets.

Pros

Starhive is a modern robust way to manage ITSM with detailed assets and data representation. The system is fast, responsive, and has its own AI.

Cons

Some other systems include more functionality than what exists in Starhive today. I would like to experience a seamless connectivity to other systems which can be achieved by AI these days

It is a very powerful tool that makes everyday life easier for both developers and end users. Therefore, it is pleasant to both develop and use Starhive.

Pros

It has a wide range of applications and can be easily adapted and expanded as needs evolve. The intuitive interface, combined with powerful features, makes it simple to use and straightforward to implement.

Cons

Since I have mostly used Starhive as a Backend as a Service, there have sometimes been some custom solutions to achieve the desired results.

Overall, if you’re looking for a modern, flexible asset management / unified data platform and you’re tired of fighting with spreadsheets and rigid legacy tools, I’d definitely recommend giving Starhive a try. It hits a very good balance between simplicity and power, and it feels like a product that is moving in the right direction.

Pros

You can shape Starhive around reality: Instead of being forced into a predefined asset structure, you can model the things you actually have: devices, contracts, locations, services, etc. For me it simply means I don’t have to “bend” the data to fit the tool. There is a lot you can do in Starhive, but I don’t feel overwhelmed in working with it. You can filter, search, build views and keep track of assets without needing an admin or developer all the time. Starhive works well together with Atlassian tools (but also on its own!): We also use Atlassian, so the integration with Jira / Jira Service Management is a big plus. Linking assets to tickets and using Starhive as the “asset brain” behind Jira feels quite natural. The product feels modern! Performance, UI and general behaviour feel “current”, not like a legacy tool. I also appreciate that Starhive is clearly evolving. You can see that the team is actively improving the product and is open to feedback!

Cons

The flexibility comes with a bit of a learning curve. At the beginning, you have to think about how you want to structure your objects and relationships. It’s not difficult, but it’s not a pure “plug and play” experience either. Starhive is not (yet) a complete replacement for heavy ITSM suites in all cases. I currently see its biggest strengths more on the asset and data side than as a full, out‑of‑the‑box ITSM suite.

Pros

It's a clean asset management system with a lot of useful functionality. The Starhive team are always improving the system, adding more features and supporting when needed. The user interface is very appealing and the App-system gives a lot of use case flexibility, as well as permission flexibility.

Cons

It is currently missing some user-related functionality that larger enterprise customers might need, such as group handling.

Definitively worth checking if you think of Asset management or unifed data platform. It is super easy and fast to implement and pricing is open and fair.

Good fit for use cases like Asset management or unifed data platform. Super easy and fast to implement. Pricing is open and fair. Their support team and development team are extremely kind and fast. Scales well for different sized organisations.

Cons

They market themselves also as an ITSM / ticket management platfrom but I feel the product maturity is not there yet for these use cases.

Overall, my experience with Starhive has been very positive. The platform is user-friendly, visually appealing, and easy to adapt to our corporate branding. While it's still evolving in terms of ITSM capabilities, the team behind Starhive seems committed to continuous improvement and open to feedback. With each update, we’ve seen meaningful progress. I’m excited to see where the platform goes and feel confident that it’s on the right track.

Pros

Starhive offers an intuitive user interface, making it easy for both beginners and experienced users to navigate. I especially appreciated how easily we could apply our own corporate design—branding the platform to match our company’s look and feel was straightforward and effective.

Cons

While Starhive performs very well overall, some advanced settings took a bit of time to find. Additionally, it’s not yet a fully mature ITSM platform—but if Starhive continues to stick to its roadmap and development timeline, the product has a lot of potential and could become a real standout in the space.

Overall it is super accessible and flexible. It has endless options to work with your objects and build your set up that fits your requirements. It's easy to navigate and work with.

Pros

It's very flexible. You can get an overview of your operations and assets in a very simple way. Also the support is excellent to help you get started.

Cons

In the beginning it might seem a bit difficult to get started so I recommend using the Starhive guides or their support to help you get started. StarQL might seem to be complicated at first but it really isn't!
