Transitioning to DSE Rec in Fall of 2025 has been a welcomed improvement across all aspects of our operations that DSE impacts. The DSE Rec team has been extremely responsive and helpful throughout the process from the initial review steps through implementation and now ongoing support.

Pros

Flexibility with modular setup to only purchase modules that fit our needs and customization options in the user inteface and backend configuration are key benefits of DSE Rec. Overall, DSE Rec is very intuitive and allows for easy training and configuration for both back-end as well as front end user experience.

Cons

Nothing in particular, some modules are newer and are less robust, but there have been regular improvements and updates to the modules since we transitioned.

Our experience has generally been good. We had some early growing pains due to a short-transition window between systems at the start of our term, but \[sensitive content hidden\] and the rest of the DSE staff have been responsive and helpful in managing and/or resolving some persistent issues. They are also open to feedback and look for ways to incorporate suggestions, if they make sense for the greater customer base (not just 1-2 institutions).

Pros

I like that we can have everything in one system - membership management, sales, registrations, employee scheduling, etc. It makes it much easier than bouncing between 2-3 different systems.

Cons

It would be helpful to be able to limit view/access by an area if needed. That way we won't have staff at the climbing wall doing a blanket check-in for items that were checked out in the gym, etc. It would also be helpful to be able to assign a member profile to a point of sale item - both for tracking sales and for being able to find transactions if needing to refund, etc. That said, the DSE staff are receptive to suggestions and are constantly working on improvements and implementing our ideas where possible.

After starting with the club sports module and recently adding the employee scheduling and intramural modules, we've been thrilled with the ease of use and the support from DSE. We're looking forward to all the reports available to us as well as the feedback from students which has been positive thus far.

Pros

The customer support team is very responsive and always willing to assist and the modules are super easy to navigate for both the administrators and the users. They are always making updates and taking clients recommendations and feedback into account. DSE made our lives at Saint Joseph's University Campus Recreation a lot easier.

Cons

At this time we're very happy with the product and do not have any issues with the modules we currently use.

Close to being a one stop shop for recreation use. Easy to navigate and cut our staff training time and costs way down. Great customer service and desire to receive feedback- potential for some great upcoming developments.

Cons

We stayed with IMLeagues for the meantime- awaiting future development within the DSE IM module. Excited to see what they develop.

It has been very good. The software is easy to learn and use. The club sport module has lots of great features and the event registration has been very easy to run our programs.

Recreation Management. Customer Support. Using the club sports module and event registration modules. Have found it to be very easy to use. Customer service has been great and very responsive to request.

Nothing really. Continues to improve with updates. When you find something that could be better, they will work to provide an update.

Pros

Do Sports Easy has simplified our club sports roster collection system immensely. DSE's user interface is clean and easy for multiple admins and departments to use. It is also easy to use for student-athletes and is a great efficiency tool for our program. \[sensitive content hidden\], and their team are great to work with and very responsive.

Cons

We had an issue with the event center embedding into our department website, however, \[sensitive content hidden\] and his team were already working on a solution to the issue before we noticed and brought it to their attention.

The staff has always been supportive and responsive. Do Sports Easy is the only registration software CSU Fullerton Club Sports has used and will likely stay with them as long as possible.

Pros

Do Sports Easy (DSE) makes running a sports clubs program very simple. The travel and roster management is extremely user friendly and very accessible for students to add/join. Adding new modules is very easy and the staff are great at designing just what you need.

Cons

Any issues that have come up with we have been able to take care of pretty seamlessly. Staff is really supportive and responsive.

All in one recreation management software. It's a one stop shop for our patrons without the need to have multiple accounts on multiple applications for all of our programs and services. Very intuitive and easy to use.

Pros

Facility Scheduling ties into other modules so double booking spaces has been cut down. Employee scheduling module is reasonably priced and meets our university's IT security standards. DSE Staff are great to work with and take suggestions for improvement. Their bread and butter is sport club management module which is robust and excellent.

Cons

While excellent product for Admin staff, they are steadily improving customer experience but more is still needed. Still waiting to be able to purchase two items in a single transaction. Hoping a kids camp module will be available in 2026. Reports are good, but access to specific data sometimes requires DSE to pull data that isn't pre-populated for needed university reports. Would love to have a report that produces everything a single user has done across multiple modules without having to manipulate multiple reports or files.

We use them for our Sport Club program at Sonoma State University. They manage our waivers and travel process. Our students love the system because it's easy to use and our staff loves it because it's easy to manage.

Pros

The system is easy to use. I've been using them for about 8 years now and haven't had any issues.

Cons

Nothing. They are always open to suggestions for change and updates.

As the admin for our system, I am very happy. I think our end users - students and advisors - are also very happy and find the system to be easy to use.

Pros

Although DSE was created and designed for campus recreation centers, it works perfectly for my needs as well as it relates to college student club and organization registration and management.

Cons

No major complaints, honestly. I think if anything just that some of the features aren't as customizable for my platform specifically and are instead features that exist for all platforms across the board.
