Usually communication is fairly smooth - being on different time zones has been one of our biggest issues if we have issues first thing in the morning before they are open. Pros Great value for the money and fairly intuitive in use compared to other cloud based software options out there. The electronic medical records are excellent. Cons Initially the financial reports were lacking, but have improved considerably over time. Sometimes, we struggle with the right language to make our concerns understood, but think that is due to the fact that we don't 'speak' computer. Their willingness to listen, iterate, and improve gives us confidence that the platform will keep getting better. The built‑in AI has been a game‑changer for us. It automates large portions of record‑keeping, saving us countless hours each week. Our patient files are professional, complete, and easy to read. NectarVet’s team has approached record‑keeping from a fresh angle, bringing a new perspective that blends efficiency with thorough documentation. Overall, Nectar Vet feels like a true partner in running a modern veterinary practice. Pros I can honestly say the support experience is fantastic. Whenever we run into an issue, I never feel like I'm on my own— the Nectar Vet team jumps right in, digs into the problem, and delivers prompt, workable solutions. They address both the immediate fix and work on longer‑term enhancements so the same issue doesn’t resurface. As a mobile practice, we don't print anything except prescription labels. We are able to email everything else to the client with just a click of the EMAIL button. Fantastic. Cons There are a few awkward areas as would be expected from a relatively new software package. For example, having to create a rabies vaccination certificate through a series of small steps rather than having the system know that a rabies vaccination should queue up a certificate on its own. On the other hand, this does facilitate ensuring that the vaccine serial number is correct before it is 'approved' and becomes part of the permanent record, so this isn't all bad. Customer service has been excellent to work with. Our setup coordinator has been very accommodating and helpful. I don't foresee any issues using this software for many years to come. Pros As a startup practice, NectarVet has all of the features I need to get setup smoothly and quickly. I really like the integrations, the AI features, as well as the automated forms and reminders. The inventory tracking is going to make our lives much easier as well. Cons My only minor hesitation with NectarVet was the appointment calendar did not immediately fit what we had planned for our schedule, but was given several very easy to implement ways to make the calendar work for us. The times I have reached out to customer service or searched the help topics available, I have been able to troubleshoot issues very quickly. Pros NectarVet is laid out in an extremely visually appealing and user-friendly interface with great ease of transition between areas of the software program (administrative functions, client pages, billing, and schedule). Cons There are very few issues I have with NectarVet. I would love for the ability for SMS messages to forward to my phone like the VOIP calls can. I also think the automatically populated breed lists and colors for canines and felines is lacking. The colors orange tabby and chocolate, to name a few, weren't in the list and had to be manually added. Similarly, the breed Pomeranian wasn't in the list. There also isn't a great way to quickly price check an item without generating an invoice. Joanna, and the NectarVet team have been just wonderful to work with. Between the open lines of communications and acceptance of suggestions, the software is quickly becoming a very competitive program to our BIG GUN softwares that have been on the market for a majority of my career. I cannot wait to see what else is coming for this team as I do not believe this software will ever stop evolving and growing! Pros NectarVet has done wonders for our practice's efficiency - we love so many aspects of the program including: - Usability (all ages can easily integrate into this software as it is "user" forward) - Less clicks/time to reach your goal (all in all, the software is very transparent with areas that you can access all from one screen in an ORGANIZED and EFFICIENT manner) - Accessibility, being a cloud software, you can easily access notes, labs, and other valuable information from anywhere with NO CRASHES - Open lines of communication - using the ability to call, text and converse through the app makes communications easy and streamlined with your clientele (instead of using a 3rd party app for integration) - PAY PORTAL - the EASIEST we have ever used with low fees, you can access the pay portal FROM NectarVet and issue refunds, track payments and evaluate profit trends in an instant - Interfacing - they have easily integrated with some of the largest distributors and lab software - very little to no issues with reporting results. The "labs" tab is also very easy to navigate - Organized end of day to make your P&L easier to organize - Constantly upgrading/updating - every aspect of NectarVet has grown fiercely with the competition in mind! They take the best aspects of several of our favorite softwares and put them into ONE, making it almost impossible to find a better, more effective cloud platform. - Team accessibility - their team is available very quickly! They also communicate via email in the case you have stepped away from your software! Cons There is very little that is not appreciated about this software, there has been discussion of being able to back date SOAPs as sometimes one or two may slip through the crack. At this time, I do understand there is not an option based on the concern of ethics, which is completely respectable.
