Jelly has been great, we love working with a small company with real human support. It's the shared inbox software we always hoped for.

Pros

Jelly is a simple and affordable shared inbox for teams that just need to share email addresses, without any of the complication or expense of bigger, more expensive products like ZenDesk. Jelly makes it easy to share responsibility for handling conversations our users start, and initiating new conversations. Any one of us can jump in and even take the lead on conversations after they've stated. It makes it trivial to see the whole conversation history. Flat-rate pricing really helps us; per-seat pricing penalises us every time a new volunteer wants to help out.

Cons

It'd be good to have more collaboration features -- seeing who has read what, collaborating on drafts. I've spoken to the team though, and these are coming soon.

Reasons for choosing Jelly

All of these are way too expensive and do far more than we need. We don't like forcing all conversations to be "tickets"; these are just people asking questions, and we often need to start conversations too, it's not just about reacting to support requests. Per-seat pricing makes us wary every time a new user needs to access the software, and yet the software only works well when everyone in the group can use it. Jelly's flat rate is way better for us.
