It saves me time, money and the stress of keeping everything in order with pen and paper. Pros I like that I dont have to write notes while I am in the meeting. I am able to fully listen during each of my meetings. Cons There is not really much I dont like about Eric.ai. Other than the fact he often catches me out on things I forgot to do - but I guess thats a good thing. Alternatives considered [Otter](https://www.capterra.com/p/202799/Otter/) Reason for choosing Eric.ai Eric was UK based and all my data was securely stored here. That was the main reason. The product from the beginning started off great and just keeps getting better and better over time. Pros The summaries are better than I could write on my own and they pick up on details I would not even have mentioned in my previous notes. Cons The back-end user face can be difficult to navigate to find old summary notes from specific clients. Would love for this to be more user friendly to reduce down time tracking it down. Pros The meeting transcriptions are extremely useful offering a really good overview of actions recorded during the meeting. Cons It can occasionally get words wrong although it is easy to ascertain what these words should be through context. January 7, 2025 5.0 It's a great product and good value. It saves me a huge amount of time and leads to better engagement on video calls. The transcription quality is amazing. When I sometimes struggle to hear people because their connection is poor, there is background noise or they have a strong accent, Eric does an outstanding job of getting an accurate transcription. The meeting and action summaries are really useful. Pros Having started with a free trial I have become very dependent on Eric.ai. It automatically joins my meetings, produces a first class transcript which is easily searchable and does a very good job of producing a meeting summary and a decent job of extracting action points. Using Eric means I can focus on participating in the call rather than focusing on trying to write notes. It works equally well with Teams, Zoom and Google Meet. The web based user interface is straightforward and feature rich. Cons There were a few problems with the auto-join feature where meetings are automatically identified from your calendar and Eric.ai automatically joins. I am happy to say that these problems are now fixed and the product works smoothly every time. Better support for hybrid meetings would be a plus, but I am very happy with the product overall. Great not taking with plenty of information. Pros Meeting notes are well written, concise but more informative than any others I've used. The set up is easy and efficient. Cons meeting recording with the ability to fast forward etc would be a great additional feature. I don't actually know how I sat in so many back to back meetings before Eric.ai joined them Pros I like how much stress Eric takes out of my days. I am typically in meetings 9-5 and not having the worry about keeping all my notes organized in piles on my desk, is so helpful Cons I wouldn't say there are any cons really. My father's name is Eric so it is also fun to see that name pop up in all my meetings. Pros I like the summary that it provides from the transcript. I like that I can accept or deny which meetings eric.ai is part of. The transcript is really good with hybrid meetings and captures the conversation, even with people that have accents. Cons I wish eric.ai had the function to manipulate the summary and get action items and ask it questions. I would like a chat function. Review Source JL Jess L. It’s a little click click clunky to add him on to meetings where others have originated the invite. Pros The summary of the conversation and actions are excellent. Pros It is easy to use and accurately transcribes calls, as well as providing a summary of what was discussed and action points.
