We have found the transition from our previous PMS to this one to be smooth. We were expecting teething problems, which did happen, but the Lupa team has been very supportive throughout, and the AI assistant is very useful for helping with routine procedures. We are looking forward to improvements with the staff buying profile section, the health plans, and the analytics section.

Pros

Lupa is an excellent practice management system for veterinary practices, and provides both good value for money as well as friendly and helpful customer support. The team is fantastic! We would give 5 stars but because the system is new, there are some aspects that don't yet work as well as they will in the future. However, the team are very good at receiving feedback and ideas, and at giving an idea of when to expect the next up-grades. We are really happy with the system so far.

Cons

There are some aspects, such as writing prescriptions and assigning batch numbers, that require a lot of clicking and could be improved upon. In the analytics (reporting) section, some of the data points can't be run against others, which can be frustrating. However, this is still being developed, so hopefully these things will be ironed out soon. The health plan section was very clunky, but has recently been up-dated, so is improving!

Great support from training before going live to ongoing. Multiple different avenues for support which is genuinely responsive and issues can and are escalated if needed. I took a risk with Lupa as a relatively early adopter. I have no regrets as I genuinely expect it to become the leading PMS in the near future. I predict increasingly be able to use features that are not available or are not fully integrated on other systems and which will add real value to our team and our clients.

Pros

Genuinely innovative PMS with an interface which is much more intuitive and user friendly than the major competitors. I tested the majority of these PMS in real clinics as a locum before setting up my practice. New features and enhancements are added very regularly. The team at Lupa are continuously looking to innovate and they genuinely take on board and engage positively with feedback. You feel that you are part of a genuinely collaborative approach to enhancing a system which puts the needs of the practice first.

Cons

Initially we found that new features and updates were being rolled out before being fully tested and this could cause unwelcome bugs. This now occurs a lot less frequently, as they are more careful with the updates. Some core functionality needs to improve but again Lupa are well aware of these and there is a clear timeline for these with frequent updates.

Lupa has a clean, modern interface that’s easy to navigate and use. Very responsive and helpful customer support

Pros

I was surprised how easily I picked it up and they have a quick and responsive customer support team that are on hand for any questions so that you can really make the most of the system

Cons

Would ideally like it to integrate with more suppliers but they’re responsive to suggestions so I’m hopeful it’s a matter or time

I'm incredibly pleased with Lupa. I've been using it for the past 6 months and it has already come leaps and bounds. It functions well for me as-is, with some minor annoyances (like every system) but the difference with Lupa is that I know improvements are coming. They don't just want superficial quick-fixes, they want to really develop features that are best in class across the whole system. I believe in the people behind it, their vision and dedication and I'd highly recommend it.

Pros

The interface is incredibly easy to use, scheduling appointments is quick and easy, the set up is quick, and the company are innovative, forward thinking, and responsive. Customer service is fantastic, and they take your suggestions on board for future development. Reporting is easy and customisable

Cons

It's a new product, so not all of the features are working as well as I'd like. Client comms is perhaps the greatest area of weakness at the moment, but they've built an incredible and highly experienced team - I'm truly excited to see what they come up with. I think it's going to be better than anything we've seen in the industry so far, so I'm happy to wait for it.

Reasons for choosing Lupa

I was impressed by the team and vision. I liked that the price was all-inclusive, rather than price per feature. I liked the interface and how user friendly it was. I was also told by some of the other companies that I demo'd that Lupa would very soon be a top competitor.
