Still learning to use the system, but once I've sunk the time into setting things up it will pay huge dividends. I also like the fact that data is cleansed in some ways - rather than US equity being listed as USA, US or U.S. as I've seen on other data providers. Pros It is incredibly thorough - loads of data sliced and diced a huge number of ways. Easy to import portfolios and history. Easy to create dashboards etc. Cons Initially it is imposing, the 'old' site is hard to play around with without guidance of where to look for what data. The desktop application is intuitive and familiar but the online version provides flexibility to run a basic analysis anywhere. Cons Need to add fixed income analysis tools and presentation. Pros I like its data availability and ability to visualize data easily in presentation studio. I also like performance reporting. Cons 1\. Exporting data out of direct is difficult (rows vs columns). No easy way to copy paste data out. 2. Performance batches sometimes fail 3. some data points lack proper definitions. I use a lot performance reporting, asset flows and portfolio management. Cons Speed of presentation studio. Customer support. It is good for easy questions. There have been some roadblocks on the way. I cannot sat that we will definitely renew our account. Pros Comprehensive range of products and professional looks documents as outputs. The ability to diarize reports to run at specific times is very useful. Cons There has been a steep learning curve and I have required assistance from the support team. Having to make contact with index providers and to then pay extra to access the data is ridiculous. The platform makes it simple to access fund information, screen for relevant options, and quickly narrow down to what matters. It is my go to place to research fund data, conduct side-by-side comparisons, and get up to speed efficiently for due diligence. Cons At times the tool can feel a bit clunky. Sometimes the simplest tasks can take too long to figure out. There are things that I have set and I re-run monthly or when I need it - and that is great. But doing new projects or pulling something I have never pulled before can be time consuming and I often have to rely on support to help me through it. Some things are just not that intuitive. I guess they could develop some more quality data. Pros The ease of usability to a client and the valuable insights it can result from it. The format of the output is also very valuable. Pros It is a treasure trove of data and information. A lot of the analysis that I would typically do outside in a separate application based on a data download can be done natively within the application which improves my productivity and reduces likelihood of errors. Also not able to access mutual fund reports, which are very useful for retail investors such as myself. Pros The ratings, the fair value and generally the scores provided. There should also be a page with the competition, as in the longer versions of the reports. Cons I noticed that the provided reports are a shortened version of the "institutional" versions.
