It took time we did not have. With the Stape, that process is much easier. What makes it truly valuable is that it does not stand alone. The pre-built tags are intuitive, sGTM is easy to manage, and the templates we used to spend real effort maintaining are now just one click away. We go from brief to implementation faster than we thought was realistic before. Less overhead, fewer problems, more time on actual work. It's one of those things where you don't realize how much friction you had until it's gone. Cons The support could be quicker with responses for agencies. The UX when chosing EU or Global is also a bit confusing for some of our customers, and is managed by different agency accounts - should be a single account for both solutions. With a guide it worked for a while, but I eventually hit errors I couldn't fix without going deep into the technical side, and the forecasted cost kept climbing. Early this year I suggested Stape to the client and he approved the switch. We've been on it ever since. It was actually my first time handling Stape, but I was confident enough to invite the client to make the switch and that confidence came from their documentation and support. Both held up. I can now stay focused on GTM and GA4 while Stape handles all the server-side infrastructure. The support team is genuinely helpful, and the power-up plugins have saved me a lot of work. The results speak for themselves. Their website tracking score went from 8 to 76 out of 100, and their Meta Event Match Quality improved too. The setup is quick and easy, the power-ups, most of them are a straightforward one-click to enable, the dev team would take a month (or more) to implement a power-up for a single client. The support is amazing and resolves all the issues extremely quickly. I also got a chance to meet quite a few members from the Stape team and they're all amazing and helpful. Pros The biggest benefit for me is the time saving. I'm the only analyst in our agency and time is my biggest constraint. With Stape, there's no more server management or maintenance. I can focus on tracking and analytics instead. On top of that, our clients have seen lower hosting costs. Cons The only "con" is that you're not owning a server yourself, but at the same time this is a pro with Stape, because they do the hard work for you.
