Using the product is straightforward and largely intuitive. Some of the more complex features can be fiddly to set up, but they are well worth the initial investment. Overall,a very easy product to use. 5 out of 5!

Pros

Jobstaq is easy to use and intuitive. The app has saved our business a lot of time and money, allowing our engineers to focus on the customer rather than worrying about paperwork and administration. In particular, the automatic reminders and the portal that allows customers to schedule their own jobs are excellent features.

Cons

Very little, for the price, it has an awful lot of brilliant features only included in much more expensive software.

The Job Management System That Actually Gets It When we started True Care Trades in May 2025, we were one plumber doing 5 jobs a month. By October, we're running 35-40 jobs per week with 5 full-time engineers, and we're planning to double that in the next six months. JobStaq made that scale possible. Before choosing JobStaq, I demoed roughly 15 competitors - from the biggest names in UK trades software to American startups to "institutional-grade" platforms so clunky their sales team needed to check a PDF when I asked why we should use them. Why we chose JobStaq: \[sensitive content hidden\] isn't just a developer running a business - he's a computer scientist who built this platform as an extension of his university degree work. That academic foundation gives JobStaq (and us) a genuine technical edge over corporate alternatives built by committee. The support is exceptional. \[sensitive content hidden\] is responsive, genuinely understands the trades, and actually implements features from our wishlist - something the big corporate players simply can't do. The whole journey feels professional and modern - exactly what we need to compete in London. The honest truth: I genuinely don't want my competitors discovering JobStaq. The longer they stick with legacy platforms or pen and paper, the easier it is for us to win their customers with superior service delivery. If you're serious about scaling a trades business and want software that actually works the way trades businesses operate, consider JobStaq. JobStaq isn't just good software - it's become our competitive advantage.

Pros

Direct access to the developer who actually understands trades businesses. When we need something adjusted or have a question, we're talking to \[sensitive content hidden\] - not waiting days for a support ticket response from someone reading a script. The customer-facing features (15-second invoice payments, automated reminders, seamless booking) have genuinely improved our client experience and helped us win work from competitors still using legacy systems. The platform scaled with us from 5 jobs a month to 160+ jobs a month without breaking, which isn't something I can say about the 15 other systems we demoed.

Cons

As with any growing platform, there are occasional feature gaps compared to more established enterprise systems that have had 10+ years of development. However, the trade-off is that \[sensitive content hidden\] actually implements our wishlist items within weeks rather than being told "we'll pass that to the product team" and never hearing back. The platform is purpose-built for trades rather than trying to serve every industry, which means it's more focused but less generalized than some alternatives. Being an earlier-stage product means we occasionally encounter minor bugs, though \[sensitive content hidden\] responsiveness means these get fixed quickly rather than sitting in a backlog for months.
