We handle a lot of requests - image resizing, format conversions, video processing for customers. A latency spike on any of these hits our customers directly. Before CubeAPM, when something went wrong, the on-call engineer was piecing things together by switching across tools. Now everything is in one dashboard and the investigation is much faster. MTTR has come down noticeably. Cost is the other win. The Datadog bill was getting hard to justify and our finance team was pushing back on it. CubeAPM came in at a fraction of the cost and covers everything we actually need - APM, logs and infra monitoring in one tool.

Pros

Honestly, support is what stands out the most. We've had shared Slack channels with other APM vendors and most of them go quiet after the first week. With CubeAPM the team is actually there - when we reach out with something, someone responds in minutes. That's not something I expected going in. The observability coverage is solid too. We run several microservices - image processing, format conversion, video transcoding and our DAM APIs. Before CubeAPM, keeping tabs on all of them meant switching between tools constantly. Now traces, logs and metrics are in one place, and the coorelation between a latency spike in the processing API and downstream errors becomes obvious pretty quickly. Makes RCA a lot faster. And the migration was smoother than I thought it would be. We were already on OpenTelemetry across most of our services, so we didn't have to rip out existing instrumentation. Just pointed it at CubeAPM.

Cons

Cloud cost visibility is the one thing I'd add. We have meaningful S3 and CDN bandwidth spend, and I still have to go to a separate AWS console for that. When I'm digging into a slow response, I want to see the performance data alongside the cost picture - right now I have to jump between two dashboards for that. Not a blocker but I'm hoping they add something like this at some point.

Datadog was getting expensive. Honestly the bill just kept growing as we added more services - more video processing nodes, additional API endpoints, more instrumented services. And the frustrating part was that even with aggressive sampling we couldn't afford to send telemetry for all our services. Some of the less critical ones were going unmonitored. But 'less critical' can still cause problems, and you end up blind for a chunk of your stack which kind of defeats the point. So when renewal came up we started looking around. CubeAPM came up and the flat pricing model was the first thing that caught our attention.

When something breaks, I can drill into the specific service fast - alert fires, on-call team already knows where to look. With over a million learners on the platform, even brief downtime hits daily active numbers in a way that&#39;s hard to ignore. Pricing is the other big thing. I don&#39;t have to fight finance every quarter. The bill stays flat even as we add services, which honestly makes my life a lot easier.

Pros

CubeAPM gives us full-stack observability across traces, metrics, logs and infrastructure - all under one roof. Don&#39;t have to juggle separate tools for different purposes. For a lean team like ours building an AI language learning app, having dashboards that actually help you spot latency spikes or error patterns quickly is important. The fact that it runs inside our own cloud is a big plus. Our users&#39; voice recordings and learning data stays in our own infrastructure. And since CubeAPM is natively compatible with OpenTelemetry, we didn&#39;t have to remove or redo our existing instrumentation when we migrated. That saved us a lot of time. Support has been excellent. Previously we had to raise a ticket and wait. With CubeAPM the response is in minutes on a shared Slack channel with their engineering team.

Cons

For dashboarding I want to have more visualization options. Basic ones are there but advanced ones like pie charts and histograms are not available yet. Not a blocker for us but would be good to have.

Honestly, we were spending more on the SigNoz infra than made sense. The software wasn't the issue - running it ourselves was. Every time we scaled, the monitoring stack needed more resources too. At some point I was having conversations with finance about whether it was worth keeping it self-managed. So we started looking for something managed instead. Data locality was a hard requirement so we couldn't just move to a SaaS tool.

Data locality is a hard requirement for us - voice recordings can't leave our own cloud. That ruled out most SaaS tools straight away. CubeAPM was the first option I found that was self-hosted but also fully managed, which meant I didn't have to run the stack myself. And the price was right.

Less time jumping between tools when something goes wrong. That is the biggest benefit for us. When our image processing APIs start throwing errors or latency spikes, the on-call team can trace the issue back to the cause much faster now. Cost is also much lower than what we were paying with New Relic. Flat pricing works well for us because as we keep adding services, the bill stays predictable. That alone made the switch worth it.

Pros

We run a lot of microservices. Image processing, AI inference, image delivery and API serving all sit in different parts of the stack, and keeping track of everything was getting messy. CubeAPM brought traces, logs and infrastructure into one place, and the correlation between them is what actually helps when something breaks in the pipeline. Support has also been genuinely strong. We have a shared Slack with their team and the response time is fast, not the usual open-a-ticket-and-wait experience. The migration was smoother than expected too. We were already on OpenTelemetry, so most of our instrumentation carried over without much rework.

Cons

GPU monitoring is still the main gap for us. We run inference workloads on GPU machines and I cannot view GPU utilization inside CubeAPM yet, so we still need to check that elsewhere. Hoping they add this over time.

CubeAPM gives full trackability and visibility of all APIs which reduces the downtime. And downtime directly impacts our business hence we want it to be as low as possible. It comes at an affordable price point, so we started saving a lot of money once we moved to CubeAPM.

Pros

CubeAPM gives full-stack observability correlating traces, logs and metrics in one single pane. It integrates well with a wide variety of instrumentation agents and we were on open telemetry already do the migration was easy. The 24-7 support stands out. CubeAPM engineering team is always available on slack channel to resolve our queries.

Cons

For dashboarding I want to have lot of visualization options. In CubeAPM basic options are there but advanced ones like pie chart, histogram are not there yet.

CubeAPM helps us minimize our MTTR through fast, intuitive dashboards and integrations with a lot of alerting tools. With CubeAPM, we get full visibility into all our services, APIs, and infrastructure components. This also results in lower downtime, which in turn means less business impact and reduced reputational loss.

Pros

There are a lot of things that we liked about CubeAPM. For instance it shows the errors in real time and the distributed tracing helps us to locate the exact issue. CubeAPM is very easy to use tool and provides a unified platform for monitoring, metrics, logs, and traces that makes our task easier. On top of that it is budget friendly.

Cons

CubeAPM doesn’t have a mobile app based APM which can do frontend monitoring. Browser monitoring is also limited.

We chose CubeAPM because it gives us the same depth of visibility as these other APM platforms but without the complexity or high costs. Also it provides single pane for traces, logs and metrics. The setup was smooth, the interface was intuitive, and multi agent compatibility meant we could start seeing results within hours. The pricing is also far more predictable compared to other tools we evaluated. No user based or host based pricing unlike other tools. Unlimited data retention is an added bonus.

Hence, this gives us visibility into what is happening inside our application. If our users face any challenge in accessing our site or specific pages of our site, we get alerted. Slow loading site tarnishes brand image, but having a monitoring tool like CubeAPM helps us maintain brand reputation and serve our customers well.

Pros

The best thing is that CubeAPM is cost-effective and costs much less than some other tools out there, where it is hard to explain the bills. It is also self-hosted, which means that we are in full control of our data. The support is also good. The CubeAPM team and our team communicate via a Slack channel, and they respond quite fast whenever we have any issues.

Cons

I wanted some detailed capabilities in RUM, especially the part where we could test the site from multiple locations. That is missing as of now.

As our services expanded, the volume of traces grew, logs increased, and the number of infrastructure hosts rose along with our expenses. Even after implementing aggressive sampling and pruning strategies, we still found ourselves paying a premium just to keep the platform functional. Also, our compliance teams repeatedly raised concerns about data residency, retention, and auditability.

CubeAPM has good UX but the UI can be improved. It seriously needs a designer touch. Must do this for success.

The reason here is similar to above. The cost was getting to be out of the hand. When we started they fit our budget but as and when we moved more microservices to the tool, the cost ballooned. The other challenge was the tool didn't prove out to be as good as we thought. Its AI features were not upto the mark.

Overall expeirence has been good. The website uptime alerting is helpful, and tracking Core Web Vitals is easy to set up and use. Because it is critical for my SEO agency to be up all the time when the client lands on my website. And Core Web Vitals is an important factor in the eyes of the google so my website ranks well.

Pros

OTel-based APM with transparent pricing, plus self-hosted or BYOC options. Customer support is good and respond in minutes.

Cons

CubeAPM’s open-source API sometimes has performance limitations at scale Not so great dashboards as the UI can be designed better.

CubeAPM helps me get clear visibility into all my applications and servers, whether they’re hosts, databases, or Kubernetes. It gives me peace of mind knowing everything is in one place and easy to monitor.

Pros

CubeAPM does the monitoring job well. It’s easy to integrate with our services, and it starts showing data on the dashboard quickly. Latency is low, and it costs much less than other similar products on the market. The team is also supportive and responds quickly to provide resolutions when needed.

Cons

I don’t see a security monitoring module here. That is not a big challenge for me hence I decided to use CubeAPM.

I am able to visualise the data for my startup in one dashboard and there is no blind spot. I can proactively monitor things and avoid downtime.

Pros

It gives value for money and is drastically cost effective than other APM tools I used before. Dashboards are also fast. Support is extremely good. The migration was also easy.

Cons

I face challenge sometimes when I do ios monitoring. Since ios is a small percentage of my traffic so this is not that big a challenge

\- I was looking for a single platform that could provide log monitoring, traces, and metrics all in one place. - I was looking for a vendor-agnostic integration for logging and tracing based on open telemetry. CubeAPM comes with that support out of the box

Pros

The dashboards are really fast, and I’m able to correlate logs and traces easily. Support has been proactive from the POC stage through actual production usage, and the migration process, along with ongoing support, has been seamless.

Cons

Mobile monitoring doesn’t feel very polished yet. Android monitoring is still acceptable, but iOS monitoring needs improvement.

In my app holy bible, we see really high traffic especially on Sundays when lot of people flock to Churches. We need to get initimated of the spike and any anomalous behavious so that followeers don't see any downtime. This tool has very clean dashboard with integrations with mulitple alerting tools which helps in keeping uptime high.

Pros

CubeAPM makes it easy to gain comprehensive visibility into our applications, infrastructure, and logs. The dashboards load very quickly, which enhances our experience. Additionally, we have noticed a significant decrease in costs compared to the tools we previously used, all while maintaining the same level of depth and reliability. The migration from our old APM software to CubeAPM was hassle free due to multi agent compatibility.

Cons

There is no SaaS model - it is strictly self-hosted. We have no problem with self-hosted but some (non critical) teams prefer SaaS for faster onboarding.

I'm using CubeAPM to receive instant alerts if my website goes down and also to track Core web vitals. This way my site is always up and running when my customers browse thereby avoiding avoiding any business and reputation loss. As I run my SEO agency, it is very important that my website core web vitals are in tact and the page speed is extremely fast. Hence monitoring this is extremely important which is solved through CubeAPM's RUM feature. My overall experience has been good with CubeAPM as it precisely solves tracking core web vitals and website down alerts. The pricing is presictable unlike many other tools. And their support is very fast. I get response in minutes over Slack.

Pros

Predictable pricing when compared to other peers like New Relic, Signoz, Datadog. Fast support. The team responds in minutes. CubeAPM provides multi agent support where I can migrate from New Relic and other tools in few hours.

Cons

The UI or the dashboards can be improved. It is self hosted but not an open source tool. Hence it is not possible to take a fork and extend the code base.

Coming from HFT industry , servers are very critical in our business, cubeAPM has covered most of the required parameters monitoring, and we are able to reduce our production down time. Since we operate on overclocked servers, which tend to go down, with cubeAPM we are able to receive alerts well in advance to avoid any future faliours. Apart from these we were able to figure out many problematic services and common failures in our internal applications.

Pros

CubeAPM has almost all types of monitoring like APM, Infra Monitoring and Log Management. The support is fast and the team is responsive 24-7. The dashboards are fast and intuitive.

Cons

1) The frontend monitoring piece is missing. 2) It does not have a SaaS setup but only on-prem option.
