I've been using SMARTgms for a number of years now and the experience has consistently been excellent. The platform is easy to use and does a great job of keeping track of all the things that matter most in managing my property. What I appreciate most is being able to leave it in the hands of the experts — that frees me up to focus on what I do best. It's the kind of system that just works, and the team behind it gives you the confidence to step back and trust the process.

Pros

Like most things about SMARTgms — as a booking management system it's responsive, easy to use, and the backup support is excellent and very good value for money. Whenever I've needed help, the team has been quick to respond and easy to deal with. The platform itself is intuitive, so getting up and running didn't take long at all. Knowing there's solid support behind the software makes a real difference day to day.

Cons

Honestly, there is nothing I would flag as a negative. SMARTgms serves its purpose exceptionally well and, most importantly, gives me complete peace of mind when it comes to booking management — which for me is the most critical factor in running a successful short-term rental. It does exactly what it promises, and that's all I need.

Great value with everything in one place to manage a busy B&B. Excellent customer support and follow up service along with regular newsletter updates and recommendations.

Pros

The Reliable Channel Management provided is essential to our business. The Direct Booking Engine allows guests to book directly commission free. Their Payment System securely handles gguest deposits and credit card payments along with invoicing. A host of Admin Tools allows for easy management of cancellations, reinstatement of rooms and the ability to modify rates with ease at a moments notice.

Cons

Navigation of the Management Calendar could do with some short cuts to get from one month to another and in particular to get back to the day in hand.

My B&B uses Smartgms as a channel manager and my bookings are easy to navigate and \[sensitive content hidden\] is great to talk with. Highly recommend.

Smartgms has definitely been value for money and great service for my B&B business. \[sensitive content hidden\]’s IT has been so very appreciated and I highly recommend them.

I don’t know enough about IT and systems to have an opinion . I had to learn a lot but the manual given is great for beginners.

Setting up took a bit of time, but SMARTgms has been competently looking after my bookings since signing up 9 years ago. Takes the worry out of booking management.

Pros

It gave me peace of mind from the get-go, knowing that all of my bookings coming from different sources would be managed so as not to incur double bookings.

Cons

Not having had experience with any other Guest management system, I can honestly say there is nothing to add here.

I have been with Smart Sims for a long time (10 years?) and I have not thought of a good reason to leave

Pros

Does everything for me in a prompt and simple way. Makes my life secure and easy even my wife understands and uses it.

Cons

It tries to get me to but my clients email address in. I am happy the it has the clients it gives me but not my clients I find myself.

We are very happy with the company's product and service, it does everything we need and more to successfully operate our B&B business.

Pros

SMARTgms integrates seamlessly with our website and manages our booking calendar for bed & breakfast accommodation across multiple platforms. The team at SMARTgms are excellent communicators, they proactively manage customer interactions and you get to talk to knowledgeable people when you need customer support. The product is really easy to use, always available wherever you are in the world and is great value for money.

Cons

Its hard to find fault! there is one minor issue with integration of Booking.com bookings where we need to do a manual adjustment of the commission, but that may be an issue with the way we set that up.

I am a website designer/builder and have implemented a number of different systems as requested by my customers. I found myself changing from many of these systems to SMARTgms when other systems did not provide the functionality needed by the accommodation operators. Both myself and the accommodation operators are really pleased with the prompt and excellent support we have received from the team at SMART. When I setup me own bed and breakfast accommodation there was only one choice as far as I was concerned and SMARTgms continues to meet all my needs for co-ordinating and managing the booking I get from the different sources including Booking.com, Airbnb and the commission free bookings I get direct through my own website.

Pros

SMARTgms is designed and supported specifically for the New Zealand situation including our legislation and business practices. It is easy to use and manages your bookings well without problems.

Cons

I have not experienced any cons. I researched all the booking systems/channel managers available on the market and SMARTgms came out ahead of the others
