It doesn’t simply confirm eligibility — it provides actionable, detailed insights such as inactive plans, exhausted benefits, age limitations, frequency limitations, and other critical coverage nuances that directly impact treatment planning and collections. AirPay adds operational clarity, strengthens front-office confidence and time. Cons The platform itself performs well and delivers strong value. There are no limitations of AirPay as a product, but rather the natural adjustment period that comes with implementing any improved workflow. They are always looking for the insight from the users to determine the improvements needed or requested. Pros AirPay is easy to use, obtaining insurance access in a consistent format with the simplicity of a single platform, with most carriers represented. Their support is quick and responsive, and their continued steps forward with integration within our practice management system is a huge benefit to our teams. Cons I would love to see more consistency about the data provided. I know a lot of the limitations are from the insurances themselves, but knowing some of the data available on the individual websites, it would be nice to obtain the full picture without having to go to the individual carrier website. We see history as the most challenging aspect for consistency of obtaining, both from airpay and from the individual carriers online. The team is exceptional; responsive, supportive, and always available whenever an issue arises. It has become one of the few software solutions that truly delivers on its promises. Additionally, the platform is simple and user-friendly, making it easy for team members to navigate and use efficiently. Pros I truly appreciate how simple and intuitive the platform is to use. The layout is clean and easy to navigate, making it quick for team members to learn and use efficiently. It eliminates the need to log into multiple insurance websites, which saves a significant amount of time and reduces the risk of missing important information. Having everything centralized in one place has streamlined our workflow and improved overall efficiency. It has genuinely become our company’s primary, go-to resource for insurance verifications. Cons The only drawback I’ve experienced is that it does not provide as much information for Anthem plans. However, this appears to be more of a limitation on Anthem’s side, as they are often restrictive with the insurance details they release. I do wish there were a more direct integration with Anthem that would allow for access to more comprehensive information. Pros Customer service, easy navigation, live eligibility, care credit,Clear layout with easy navigation, even for first-time users.Consistent performance with minimal downtime or errors. Cons I wouldn't say there are things I like least about AirPay. I would say I would like to see in the future more insurances added to the platform as well as being able to see EOBs. They are truly among the best tools on the market. Their performance surpasses that of offshore alternatives, and they incorporate some of the most outstanding features. Most importantly, they are attentive to your DSO needs. You won’t find a better team dedicated to delivering the highest level of service in their niche. Pros The software is fast, easy to manage, and easy to integrate. It is intuitive, with continuous improvements and prompt resolution of issues and bugs. The software simplifies chart preparation and patient management, eliminating guesswork. The customer service is the best I've experienced, both within and outside the dental community. Charting is user-friendly, and the ability to access histories from multiple sources in EDI—within your charts and directly from payors—is excellent. This functionality allows my offices to quickly check eligibility. Cons The only limitation of AirPay, which isn't directly theirs, stems from the payors themselves—specifically, the constraints of the payor and the information they provide through EDI and the exchange of EDI. This situation is expected to improve with increased interoperability at both the payor and federal levels.
