Nobel

## What is Nobel?

Nobel runs awards, grants, and scholarships from first application to final announcement on a single platform. Judges receive AI-generated scores with written reasoning attached, so panels deliberate instead of doing arithmetic. The no-code form builder supports 30+ field types with conditional logic, live preview, and AI-assisted form generation so you can build a full application in minutes. Workflows are drag-and-drop with no developer required. When an applicant uploads a document, Nobel reads it and pre-fills the relevant fields. Duplicate detection works by meaning rather than keywords, so similar submissions surface even when the wording differs. Communications go out by email, SMS, or WhatsApp on rules you configure. Role-based access restricts each user type to exactly what their role requires. The infrastructure is GDPR-compliant, ISO 27001-ready, and backed up daily.

My overall experience with Nobel has been very positive. It stands out as a strong platform for organizations running awards, grants, and multi stage review programs because it combines ease of use with advanced functionality for data management, collaboration, and process automation. It is particularly valuable for teams that want one system for applications, judging, reporting, communication, and tracking funding opportunities without relying on multiple separate tools.

Pros

Nobel makes the full award and grant process much easier to manage from start to finish. The visual workflow builder and no code form builder give teams a lot of flexibility, while features like conditional branching, deadline scheduling, automated reminders, and analytics dashboards help reduce manual work and improve oversight. I also like that the platform supports team collaboration well, with reusable records, team applications, granular permissions, and clear dashboards for applicants, judges, and program managers. The AI features are especially impressive and genuinely useful. AI assisted scoring with written reasoning helps reviewers move faster while still keeping decisions transparent and structured. Features like Ask AI, AI insights, similarity detection, professional matching, and document extraction add real value because they reduce manual effort, surface useful patterns, and help teams make better decisions more efficiently. Instead of feeling like extras, the AI tools feel meaningfully integrated into the platform.

Cons

Teams that only need a very simple application process may not use the full depth of tools such as branching logic, advanced permissions, and analytics.

Previously, I have tried using other platforms, but I always ended up being in the spreadsheet within a few months. But, Nobel sticks with me. My team also adopted it pretty quickly, and our applicants also never complained about any processes. I can also pull out a report within a minute, which usually took me half a day.

Pros

Honestly, the thing that I love the most is how little I should be involved once I set things up. With Nobel, I do not need to go back and forth writing emails and chasing people to submit/judge before the deadline; Nobel handles it all automatically.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve when I first got into the workflow of Nobel, but its not because it's complicated, but there is a lot of things to control.

Nobel was easy to use, well-structured, and reliable throughout the awards process. It helped our team run submissions and judging more efficiently, while keeping the experience simple for both admins and applicants.

Pros

We used Nobel to manage our awards program, and it made the whole process much easier to control! Setting up submissions, assigning reviewers, tracking judging progress, and checking results were all straightforward. The platform felt clean, organized, and easy for both admins and applicants to use, which saved us a lot of manual follow-up.

Cons

Some of the more advanced settings may take a little time to configure properly at the beginning, especially if the awards program has several stages or different judging rules. Once everything is set up, though, the platform is easy to manage.

We wanted a platform that was easier for our team to manage day to day, especially for setting up workflows, tracking submissions, and coordinating judging. Nobel felt cleaner, more intuitive, and better suited to our process without requiring as much manual follow-up.

Our experience with Nobel has been transformative. Before migrating, our grant process was a fragmented mess of spreadsheets and manual emails. Nobel centralized everything into a sleek, automated pipeline. It hasn't just saved us time; it has elevated the professionalism of our entire organization in the eyes of applicants.

Pros

The UX is clearly designed with the human element in mind. It’s "frustration-free" software; navigation is logical, and the dashboard provides a high-level overview that makes complex data easy to digest at a glance.

Cons

Honestly, there is very little to complain about. If I had to nitpick, the initial configuration of complex multi-stage workflows has a slight learning curve because the system is so robust. However, the support team walked us through it, so it was never a true blocker.

Switched from

[Award Force](https://www.capterra.com/p/148148/Award-Force/)

Our overall experience with Nobel has been exceptional. It bridges the gap between a standard competition platform and a true strategic management tool. The switch has allowed us to centralize awardee history, financial disbursements, and judging scores into a single source of truth. It has made our entire awards cycle—from initial call for nominations to final impact assessment—faster and much more professional.
