## What is TransitFare?

TransitFare is a modular transit technology platform for small and mid-sized transit agencies operating 10 to 200 vehicles. The platform integrates automated fare collection, real-time CAD/AVL, automated passenger counting, transit alerts, and GTFS data publishing into a single cloud system. Agencies can deploy any module independently. TransitFare designs and manufactures its own onboard hardware and develops all software in-house. The TF4 Edge Gateway is a family of onboard ITS devices in four tiers, from fleet tracking for paratransit vans through full platforms with APC, automated announcements, and sign control. Riders pay via contactless cards, mobile barcodes, or fareboxes through the UseTransit app. Transit Alerts publishes service updates to Google Maps, email, SMS, and social media from one dashboard. Founded in 2012, powering nearly 600 vehicles with over 60 million fare validations processed across the US and Canada.
