Pros I like the fact it integrates with our ERP system and allows the operators access to clocking in and out of jobs at their control. The program management has also been a huge benefit to us monitoring changes on the floor and providing direct feedback to the programmers. Support is also a big plus with very fast responses and solutions. Cons I would say the reports are not quite there yet. Although they have been improving with updates so and I am finding them more useful as they are updating. It makes clocking into jobs very simple since you don't have to go run around and find what you're supposed to be working on. Data collection has improved significantly, it's basically resolved all of our part counting issues. Cons The development process leaves much to be desired. It seems just about every update reintroduces a previous bug which we opened a ticket to get fixed. Program loading has been especially painful to deal with. In the past week I think we've opened 3 or 4 tickets about it not functioning correctly, in the past it would get fixed and then about a month later something else would go wrong and they would undo whatever change they made, it makes it seem like there is a lack of end-to-end testing of the product which is very frustrating. Recently, it's gotten so bad that our setup people have just been bringing the IT department flash drives with the programs so that we can manually put them into the portal since the terminals seem incapable of receiving the programs correctly. Setup is easy, but the real standout is the team. They’re a brilliant group of people who understand real-world shop floor issues and know exactly how to integrate data across multiple platforms. Pros The Harmoni system consolidates workflows that previously required juggling multiple computers or browser tabs. By unifying time tracking, DNC/machine networking, ERP data, inspections, and RFID job and tool tracking into a single interface, it creates a true 'single pane of glass' for the shop floor. Cons Not built for native inventory transactions. Managing complex assemblies may require 'outside-the-box' thinking to successfully map workflows within the system. We meet regularly to discuss new ideas and learn about upgrades to the Harmoni controls and portal. Pros We are most excited about what the potential of having a connected factory brings to our business. We use it to share information across our company with our entire team, which allows us to continually improve and optimize all of our CNC machining processes. Cons The price and the screen size, it would be nice if it was less expensive and if the monitors were a little bigger.
