Our overall experience with QED Labs has been extremely positive. It has streamlined our maintenance processes, improved communication with residents, and provided greater visibility across our portfolio. The platform strikes a strong balance between functionality and ease of use, which is often difficult to achieve in this space. It’s clear the product is being actively developed with real user needs in mind, and the level of support we’ve received has reinforced our confidence in the system. It has become a key part of our day-to-day operations.

Pros

I’ve used a number of platforms for managing maintenance, and this is by far the most effective. The system is intuitive, user-friendly, and clearly designed with both operators and residents in mind. It’s also continually evolving, with regular improvements that reflect user feedback. The support team are responsive and easy to communicate with, and importantly, our residents actually enjoy using the platform — which is a significant win.

Cons

At present, there isn’t a function for external parties to raise jobs (e.g. non-registered residents such as carers or external letting agents). That said, from recent discussions with the team, this is already in development and expected to be introduced in upcoming releases, which is encouraging.

We chose QED Labs over Fixflo due to its forward-thinking approach and continuous development. Several members of our team had previously used Fixflo and found it wasn’t always as user-friendly as it could be. In comparison, QED Labs offers a more intuitive interface, alongside a product that is clearly evolving in line with user needs, which gave us greater confidence in its long-term value.

The user-friendly interface and portal is intruitive i found navgating ot sne drawing down data and relating updates easy

Really solid overall - I thought it would be helpful, but I didn't quite appreciate the breadth that it could manage all on one system until I did the trial

Pros

Really helped with maintenance management - removed a huge amount of human error by automatically recording all tenant info and following it up

Cons

After a brief integration period (our version of Qube had quite a tailored set-up) they had it up and running and working smoothly
