Instagram no longer serves list data without a logged-in session, and cloud server IPs are effectively pre-banned, so a managed API is the only practical server-side path. HikerAPI replaces the account pool and residential proxy stack I would otherwise maintain myself, and pay-per-request means my cost scales with actual usage instead of a fixed monthly bill. Pros The transparency. The full OpenAPI spec is public, so I could see exactly how each endpoint bills before spending anything. I verified it with their balance endpoint: follower-list pages bill exactly 1 unit per call, and a deprecated endpoint that returned HTTP 410 billed nothing.
