Overall we’ve had a positive experience with Owlery. It has been a helpful tool for keeping our loads, rates, carriers, and tenders more centralized and it is easy enough for the team to use without a lot of extra training. The platform has a good foundation and the team has been great to work with. Going forward, the biggest value for us would be continuing to improve automation, EDI, QBRs, tracking, appointment visibility, invoice capture, and NetSuite updates so the system can keep taking more work off the team’s plate.

Pros

Owlery has been easy to use day to day and has helped us keep our transportation process more organized. The system is clean, and building loads, tendering carriers, and managing rates/lanes in one place has been helpful for our team. I also appreciate how responsive the Owlery team has been when we’ve had questions or needed help working through issues. The API/EDI process with carriers has been a big help too

Cons

The only area I’d like to see continue improving is reducing some of the manual follow-up in the day-to-day workflow when our planning has changes to the loads. Things like retendering, tender status updates, load changes, BOL/POD capture. That said, Owlery has been receptive to feedback, and the recent self-service EDI progress is a good example of the platform moving in the right direction.
