The platform was stable, and I didn’t experience technical glitches. However, the strictness of the monitoring system made the experience less comfortable. While I understand the need for exam integrity, the system could benefit from more flexibility to account for natural human movement. With some adjustments to reduce false flags, Proctorly could be an excellent tool for students and institutions alike. Pros liked that Proctorly was straightforward and easy to navigate. As a student, logging in and setting up for my exam was smooth, and the interface felt intuitive. The system gave me confidence that my exam was secure and properly monitored without being overly complicated. Cons The biggest downside was how sensitive the flagging system was. During a two-hour exam, it’s unrealistic to expect someone to sit completely still. Simple movements like adjusting posture or looking briefly away were flagged, which felt excessive and distracting. Pros Highly sophisticated to curb examination malpractise.It has to be humanised a bit to accomodate natural human activities. Cons Too sensitive. Fustrates naturally frequent eye blinkers. Cannot distinguish between the human voice and bark of a dog even when the voice of the candidate has been recorded as a sample. While the platform serves its purpose as a proctoring tool, there are several areas that need improvement. Students, especially older students and those who are not very comfortable with technology, often struggle to complete the login and exam access process without support. Having technical support available during exam start times would be very helpful. It would also be better if students could simply log in and see their assigned exams directly instead of going through multiple steps. Integrating exam settings and management into a single platform, providing better attendance reporting options, and improving the chat system for proctors would make the overall experience much smoother for both students and staff. Pros Proctorly helps maintain exam security and allows proctors to monitor students effectively during examinations. The student verification and monitoring features are useful, and the platform provides a structured way to conduct online exams. Cons The main issue is that students often face difficulties logging in and accessing their exams, especially at the start of examination sessions. Many students require assistance throughout the process, and the navigation is not very user-friendly. The dependency on both the LMS and Proctorly creates additional work for proctors, and sometimes the "Attempt Quiz" button does not appear even when the settings are configured correctly, causing delays and manual intervention.
